Appro^mutoly 120; chijdreh responded and with their teach* ers and helpers, enjoyed a won derful two weeks. - . Every morning, all children gathered in the church to learn a pew song from the music sup ervisor Mrs., H. Kuiper. After a half hour of singing, opening devQitions and birthday wishes, all children went to their res pective classes where Bible stor ies were told, questions answer ed and crafts made. Theme of the course was * ’Learning to Know-God" pub lished by the Christian Unform ed Publishing House, Grand Rapids, Michigan. •• ] Collections for the two week period amounted to $60.22 and were earmarked for a leprosy colony -in Nigeria. * Busy supervisor of the school was Mrs. Albert Postma, Rev, G. Jfeersihk was the piapist. Friday evening’s VBS ©los ing program was? well attended by parents and friends. Teadher of the first class, Mrs. C. Gredanus, Clinton, with her helpers, Ruth Bylsma Dianne Broeze and Cathy Ott, supervised a skit "Noah”. The second cla-ss, taught by Mrs. S. Vanderwal, spoke and sang of “Th© Ten Command ments1', Her helpers were Jane Bouman, Marilyn, Rathwell and Annette Rehorst. The third class was led by Mrs, w, Vriezipga. Her thepne was "This Little Light of Mine”. Her helpers were Joanne Veldihuis and -Joanne Broeze. Mrs. J, Land taught the fourth class. Her class,, spoke of ‘The Home Over Th'ere’. They also sang in connection with their tfheme. Mrs,, X<wd's help- ers were .Gertie Veenstra and Betty Howse, Fifth Class was led by Mrs. J, Veenstra with her helper, Frieda Maaskant, Their theme was •“Naaman”. Mrs. Jane Nyl led the sibdh class with helpers Jenpy Stryker and Margaret Postma. Their theme was ‘'God’s Love'”. Seventh class was taught by Mrs. H, Stryker and helpers Alice Rpordfa and Nelly Maas kant, Their them© was ’‘Crea tion". Senior class was taught by Mrs, L. Dykstra and helper Jo anne Imans©.
