ing the two runs-. It was Larry's
third hlit of the day.
Walkerton grabbed an early
1-0 lead in the second inning.
Clinton came -back lin the fourth
•inning With two runs when
Dave Johnson .was hit with a
wild pitch, Rick Fremlin was
safe on an error, and Mike Gra
ham knocked them both home
with a single1. Clinton, made it
3-1 in tire fifth inning on singles
by Cam. Colquhoun, Don -Bairt-
lifif and a run producing double
by John Irwin, who .also had
three hits. They added two
more runs' in the sixth. Walk
erton tiled the game in the bot
tom, %of the, eighth 7-7 when
they came up with four runs..
Up until the eighth inning,
Don Barrthff had pitched his
best game of the year. Since
the day 'had been very warm
and humid, manager Howard
Tait decided to pull Bartliff to
put iin his right-handed knuckle
ball pitcher, Allan Howes. Allan
did not have hiis stuff and he
walked three straight batters.
Clinton’s alee, Larry 'Pickett
came in and got the next hat
ter to '.pop up, thus setting up
the stage for Clinton’s winning
rally in the ninth. Larry Pick
ett won the game.in a superb
relief job.
