Home runs by Bob- Mann, Ken Woods, and Al Welch ac­ counted for nine of ’ Clinton’S runs; they were backed up by fine pitching by Ken Woods and-Doug Kennedy. Ron McKay with four safe­ ties, did no harm , to Clinton’s cause. Other sluggers were Paul Draper with two, Bob Liver­ more, Russ Hofifimeye'r, Barry. Since the day 'had been very warm and humid, manager Howard Tait decided to pull Bartliff to put iin his right-handed knuckle ball pitcher, Allan Howes. Allan did not have hiis stuff and he walked three straight batters.
