Stuart conducted the service ^witi; Miss Dianne McKay, Miss Gwen Hendpick and David Turner taking part in the.worship ’service. Special music was rendered by the choir with Mis-S Jean Ivison at the organ, and a quartette by Joan Sipciair, Debbie Anderson, Grant and Kenneth Jones. Monthly Meeting The UCW held its May meet­ ing ait the church on Tuesday evening (with 28 ladies in at­ tendance, Mrs. Lloyd Lovell took the warship. After re­ ports were given 'and business discussed, Mrs. Emerson An­ derson, assisted by Gary show­ ed ' pictures taken last winter while visiting Florida. Dianne and j Darlene McKay gave a piano' duet and also sang, with Mrs. Broadfoot ac­ companying on piano. An in­ vitation from Brucefield to at­ tend their visitor’s day was accepted. A Mother's Day poem was given by Mrs. Bert Faber. Cour­ tesy remarks were by Mi's. John Anderson. For travelling the bride chose a two piece wool suit in beige tone with pink blouse and ac­ cessories in, pink and black patent. Her corsage was red roses. Receiving guests in tine social centre at CFB Clinton, Mrs. Begg received in rose linen three-piece suit with white ac­ cessories and her corsage was a white , gardenia. Dr. Jiaok MIcKim made an excellent moderator of the topic and discussion of “abor­ tion, contraception,, and illegiti­ macy”. The evening proved 'informa­ tive1 as well as. extremely inter­ esting. As one young person re­ ports, “Certainly we are break­ ing the ice, in a few of our social problems, by discussing these matters with someone well versed on the subject.” The Kairos hope that every­ one there had at least some of their puzzling questions ans­ wered. The next meeting will be in Seaforth on May 27, and the topic will be based' on the film, “The Coffee House”. In honour of her grandson’s ■Christening, Mrs. Charles Bell entertained members of the fa­ mily at a turkey dinner at her home at. one o’clock. Begg, 10 Winnipeg Read, CFB Clinton and the groom’s parents are Corporal and Mrs. -Noel LaMiontagne, CFB Perihold, Alberta. Given. in marriage by her father, the bride was lovely in floor-length gown of silk organza, over taffeta. The fitted ■bodice featured a slight scoop neckline and long lily point sleeves'. The skint of unpressed plealts fell from a fitted' midriff which was covered in guipure lace. Her train, attached to the back neckline by an organza bow, also was trimpaed with guipure lace:. Her bouffant slhoulder-length veil was of silk illusion, held by a wedding ring headddresis or organza. She car­ ried' yellbw roses and stephan- otis, and wore a miniature gold cross given her by her grand­ mother. Mrs. M. Chowrun, Clinton,- was matron of honour, and " wore a floor-length gown of Salmon pink in style Similar to the 'bride’s. Bridesmaids were Miss Jo­ anne Briadshaw, Port Hope, and Miss Judy Bush, Adastral Park. They wore floor-length gowns of mint green nylon chiffon ■over taffeta with empire wai'St- MneS. Bodice and sleeves were fashioned of chantilly laCe over taffeta. All attendants . wore identical short * nylon net veils1 held by wedding ring head­ pieces in the same shade as their gowns. ' : ' ■ * Clinton Memorial Shop (By Leonard Lobb) The Bayfield 4-H Dairy Calf Club held its first meeting of the year at the farm of Stanley Mcliwaiin, with 12 members in attendance. A demonstration of the dif­ ferent parts of a dairy cow was given, and a class of cows judg­ ed before retiring to the house to Watch an interesting film called “Cash in on Grass”, re­ lating to the night’s topic, “Establishing land managing pastures.” A discussion and quiz fallowed and lunch was served. Last year, 200 Huron County 4-H and Junior Farmer mem­ bers participated in the live­ stock judging competition. Reasons for placing classes are -taken by official judges during the afternoon from junior, intermediate arid senior contestants. In the place of reasons, novice' contestants will have a special instruction class during the afternoon on how to judge arid give reasons. T.
