The league, composed of men and boys of all ages, played a a 25-week regular schedule at Bill German’s Alleys on Isaac Street, and it took three weeks to complete the playoffs. Final standing in the four- team league' which bowled on Thursday nights, was Squirts, captained by Fred MiacDonald; Gamblers, Len Arnston; Old 7... Special This Weekend MEN'S WORK SOCKS 75c PR. The league champion Squirts team were, Jim, Livermore, Keith Ashton, Jack Nediger, Harry Thompson, Ken Taylor and Fred MacDonald. The playoff champions, Booz ers were captained by Ben Riley and included Howard Grealis, Doug Jones, Harold, Black, Maynard Hymers, Larry Hockey, Ray Finch and Don Keller. This team beat out the Old Timers in the finals. The two championship teams are co-holders of the Hotel Clinton Cloud 9 trophy for a year. High Dowlers quring league play were: high average, Jim Armstrong, 221, who received a trophy; high stogie, Howard Grealis, 323 and . high ' triple, Jack Carter, 810. Secretary Jim Livermore of ficiated at the presentation of prizes. Perfect attendance priz es went to Miait Falconer, Don Ellwood, Fred MacDonald and Jim Livermore. Two of the fathers of father-son competi tors received special prizes; they wore Percy Livermore and Cliff Ashton. Winners of ’cash doior prizes were, Bill Rogerson, Ken Tay lor, Jim Livermore, Percy Liv ermore, Howard Grealis and Joe1 Cooper. The officers pictured above were returned for anoither year. Also welcoming a new son, Brian Douglas, were Corporal and Mrs. D„ H. McEwan. Master, Bradley Schewaga is celebrating his third birthday on April 29. Ladies; 'Don’t forget the Women’s Auxiliary’s. Seventh Meeting ■ The Kippen Mad Hatters held their, seventh meeting, April 21, at the home of-Mrs. George Clifton. They opened with the 4-H pledge. Karen Hendrick read the minutes of the last meeting. Achievement Day plans were also discussed. They closed with the singing of “God Save The Queen”. CGIT The CGIT of .Brucefieid and Kippen Churches held their regular meeting Wednesday, April 20. Minutes .were read and roll call answered. Volun teers were called for different jobs. A discussion was- held' on the amount of funds available for several church projects. This was followed by a worship service and a period of recrea tion. After a short devotion al period a business session was held. Films on The Teenage Christian's Responsibility and Going Steady were shown by Ed. Haines. A discussion period followed. Readings were given by Mrs. William Lobb and a. poem was read by Mrs. Ray Bird. Work was done on a quilt. Lunch was served by the hostess assisted by Mirs. W. Lobb and Mrs. R. Bird. For the next meeting, which is to be at the home of Mrs. R. Thompson, Mrs. Lome Tyn dall and Mirs. Jack Merrill will assist with the lunch and pro gram.
