Suspicions were aroused by a London packing firm when Aik- enhead and Pryce sold them an animal at a reduced price. Police were notified and the pair were soon apprehended. They admitted stealing the beast from a farm on Fourth Concession of Hullett Township and selling it. They were each fined $50 costs. School Outlined At Press Meet Prof. George AV. McCracken, of the University of Western Ont. School of Journalism, was the guest speaker at the Western Ontario Weekly Press Association which met at Harriston Saturday Prof. McCracken outlined the course of Journalism and gave credit for its inauguration to the Weekly Press and to Mr. Arthur Ford of the London Free Press. He stated that the school had graduated 76 students and with the exception of what he called “maritial wastage*’ all had se­ cured good positions, the ma­ jority with the dally press. Seve­ ral applications for additional students were on file, Prof. McCracken said he had reviewed the papers of Western Ontario and congratulated them on their splendid editorials which he considered a most important part of the paper. He said em­ phasis should be placed on '.com­ munity life, then national ' and international affairs .He asked the editors to watch for keen boys and girls interested in news­ paper work and urge them to take the course in journalism.
