Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Maines and Elizabeth of Lucan attended the birthday dinner of Mary Tomes on Wed. evening, Mr. Cecil Carter is driving a new Meteor car. I Mr. Clarance Carter had the Misfortune to break a bone in his foot. A party for Mr. and Mrs. Jack Whitmore was held in the Cland- ehoy school on Friday evening Oct. 20th. The evening was spent playing euchure. Mrs. Jim Cun­ ningham read the address and Mr. Smibert, Cecil Lewis and Tommy Tomes presented the young couple with two occasion­ al chairs and walnut end table. Lunch was served and dancing was enjoyed, Mr. Elson and Mrs. Smibert supplied the music. The young couple have been married and are now living in Hyde Park. If one team is shorthanded then other team must at 9:15. If team is still handed (i.e. has not mum 5 players) at" they must default first and all 3 games if not by 10 p.m. 3. If one player is late arriving, five players may start at 9:15. If the sixth player ar­ rives before sixth frame, she may catch up in that, game, howling 2 frames at a time, in her own turn. 5. If game has advanced past sixth frame by time she ar­ rives, she cannot bowl, but may play in second and games. 6. Teams are to consist regular bowlers and 2 7. Count 6 scores. 8. If only 5 players ibowl, low score of opposition, but not handicap. 9. Fees—25 cents per year. Bowling—60 cents >per night. League Kitty—10 cents pei’ night, or GO cents per week per team. 10. Permission must be granted by executive and executive committee to install a new player on a team where one has dropped out. New player refunds 25-cent membership fee to former member. Handicap based on % of 200 system (e.g. average 170— handicap is of difference between 170 and 200 which is 20). 12. Handicap is not to be count­ ed in average. True average counted only. 13. In case of tie game, teams are to bowl another frame, counting as if it were tenth frame. 14. Team captain to complete sheet each night and turn in to Mrs. Francois at alleys. 15.
