Mrs. James Kemp of London is holidaying with her daughter, Mrs. Roy Switzer, Mrs. ReuHn Switzer has re turned from Erie, Penn., where she spent the past month with Dr, and Mrs, Switzer, Ira and Mrs. Marshall have .returned from a pleasant holiday at Red Bay with lots of good I fishing. j Sympathy is extended to Mr.. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reynolds and daughter Joan, of Toronto, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Rathburn. Mrs. Effie Kirkby of St. Marys spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. N. B. Doupe. Rev. Mrs. Bultele, a former resident of the village, now of 'Clinton, spent the ‘past week with Mrs. R. Humphreys. Mrs. M. Gregory, who spent the past two months with Mr. and Mrs. James McCullagh at Gravenhurst, has returned. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Marshall, and Dr. and Mrs. Norman Amos spent a few days at the 'Michi gan State Fair at Detroit. They also called on Mr. Walter Hazle wood, a former resident. Walter is well and quite delighted see anyone from Kirkton. Officers1 Wives Hold First Meeting The first meeting for the fall season of the Officers’ Wives Auxiliary R.O.A.F, Centralia was held in the Officers’ Mess on Wednesday evening, September (j at which many new members were welcomed. Jaques. The monthly meeting of the Evening Auxiliary was held on Friday evening at- the home of Mrs. Jack Thomson with nine teen present. The monthly meeting of the W.M.S. was held at the church on Wednesday with seventeen present. Mrs. F. Pattison, presi dent of the W.A., had charge of the worship service, assisted by Mrs. W. L. Switzer. Mrs. C. Camm had charge of the study book, assisted by Mrs. K, Mills, Mrs. C. Mills, Mrs. 0. Hazlewood and Mrs. L. Mills.
