A have charge morning. spent the day Mrs.Warren ormer Pastor’s Wife 3ies In Galt Word has been received of the death of Mrs. E. D. Becker, who passed away at the home of her daughter, ;Mrs. Robert Johnston, in Galt June 5. Her late husband, Rev. E. D. Becker, was minister of the Evangelical Church here over thirty years ago, and during her stay here she was a faithful worker in church circles and was teacher of Dorcas Band class in the Sunday School. She is survived by one daughter, Essie (Mrs. Robert Johnson ) , and three sons, Harrison, Eldon and Gordon. The funeral was held on Fri day, June 9, from Calvary Mem orial Church, Kitchener. Miss been engaged to teach at Clan- deboye. Children’s Day Services Children’s Day was observed in the Evangelical U.B. Church on Sunday. The Junior Choir led in the service of song in the morning. In the evening, selec tions were given by the Male Chorus, numbers from the dif ferent classes and recitations and songs by the children. An offer ing for missions was received. The church was beautifully de corated with a profusion of flowers. Special Service Commemorating the twenty fifth anniversary of church union a special service was held in the United 'Church Sunday morning. Congregations of Brinsley and Shipka churches were present. Rev. H. Currie was the speaker and music was provided by the choir. A solo was sung by Cpl. Murray Plunkett of the R.C.A.F. The church was decorated with baskets of flowers, one bas ket in memory of the late Mrs. Sarah Sims, was donated by her daughter, Mrs. A. Rowe, Claw son, Mich.
