Hay Council Lets Bridge Contract

the provincial bank to the Super

Mr. Steinhagen is a native of
Dashwood and has had twenty-
five years’ experience. For nine
years he was a branch manager
in various Ontario centres. Dur

Spring flowers made a lovely
setting for the marriage on Sat
urday, June 10, at the Holy
Sacrament Church, Chatham, of
Ila June Wright, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. William Wright, of
Crediton, and Gerald Eugene
Kellar, son of Mrs. M. Bentley,
of Chatham, and the late Chas.
Kellar. During the strains of
soft music the ceremony was
performd by Rev. E. M. Clark.
The charming bride was gown
ed in pale blue taffeta with full
skirt of net, pink hat and gloves
and carried a bouquet of red
roses and blue forget-me-nots
with blue streamers.

The bride donned a grey suit
with navy accessories for a
honeymoon trip to Detroit and
other points and later to the
home of the bride’s parents, in
Crediton. The happy couple will
make their home in Chatham.

Matthew Millar Carmichael,
seventy-seven, was held

Monday at 2:30 p.m. conducted
by Rev, H. Daynard of Staffa
and the Hensall branch of the
Canadian Legion.
Mr. Carmichael, a veteran of
the First World War, died in
Westminster Hospital, where he
has been a patient for several
months.
Born in Staffa he spent a
great many years in Regina, Vic
toria and Vancouver.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs.
J. R. Stewart and Mrs. Elizabeth
Herr, Hensall; one brother, John
Chelsea, Mich.
