IV. Steinhagen of St. John, N.B., from manager of the provincial bank to the Super­ intendents Department of the Provincial Bank of Canada at head office, Montreal. Mr. Steinhagen is a native of Dashwood and has had twenty- five years’ experience. For nine years he was a branch manager in various Ontario centres. Dur­ ing his residence in Saint John he was active in musical circles. Bentley, of Chatham, and the late Chas. Kellar. During the strains of soft music the ceremony was performd by Rev. E. M. Clark. The charming bride was gown­ ed in pale blue taffeta with full skirt of net, pink hat and gloves and carried a bouquet of red roses and blue forget-me-nots with blue streamers. Donna Janette Wright of Exe­ ter was her sisters only attend­ ant wearing an identical gown in pink taffeta with pale blue hat and gloves and carried pink roses. Mr. Douglas LaRue of Chat­ ham, friend of the groom, was best man. Following the ceremony, din­ ner was served to twenty-five guests at the .Rankin Hotel. Later, a reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stew­ art Wright, Chatham. The bride donned a grey suit with navy accessories for a honeymoon trip to Detroit and other points and later to the home of the bride’s parents, in Crediton. Carmichael Dies In Hensail Public funeral services Matthew Millar Carmichael, seventy-seven, was held Funeral Home for aged from Bonthron’s Funeral Home on Monday at 2:30 p.m. conducted by Rev, H. Daynard of Staffa and the Hensall branch of the Canadian Legion. Mr. Carmichael, a veteran of the First World War, died in Westminster Hospital, where he has been a patient for several months. Born in Staffa he spent a great many years in Regina, Vic­ toria and Vancouver. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. J. R. Stewart and Mrs. Elizabeth Herr, Hensall; one brother, John Chelsea, Mich.
