Douglas Stewart of Knox Presbyterian church, Kincardine, who delivered a most inspiring message. He took as his subjects, “Worship” from the text found in St. John 4, verse 24, and “Lord Teach Us To Pray” from the text found in St. Luke 11, verse 1. Mr, T, Harry Hoffman, Dash- w’ood, as guest soloist, contribut­ ed two delightful solos entitled, “He Smiled On ’Me" and “You Must Open The Door”, Mrs. L, Tiberio and Mrs. C. Kennedy sang a duet entitled “Into The Woods,” The choir under the leadership of Mr. J. L. The decision was reached after considerable dis­ cussion on the town’s finances. The rate includes county (7.4), village (12.1), public school (12.8), high school (4.5), com­ munity park (.8), public library (.9), waterworks debenture (5.5), hydrant rental (4.1) and main drain debenture (1.9). The tax rate by-law was given the required three readings at the meeting. Council decided to join the Huron County Municipal Officers Association and will attend the meeting in Goderich on May 26. Sixty dollars was granted to the Hensall Stock Fair, which will be held on May 26. W. Dougall and C. Armstrong appeared^ as delegates for the Sprin; Board asking for grant.
