Parkhill M usic Festival
A very successful musical fes
tival was held in Parkhill United
Church when the Cloverdale,
■McGillivray, and Riverview Wo
men’s Institute sponsored a fes
tival for six public schools in W.
Williams and 12 public schools
in McGillivray Township.
About 300 children took
in morning, afternoon and
ning sessions. The program
sisted of chorus; 2-part chorus;
double trios; junior girls’ solo;
junior boy’s solo; duets; senior
girls’ solo, and junior boys’ solo.
Mrs. William Elliott and Mr.
Douglas Gill did a very fine job
as directors, and received many
compliments.
Mr. W. R. Goulding of London
was in his usual good
adjudicator.
Mr. Oakes, Inspector
Middlesex, praised the
foi4 their fine performance during
the afternoon.. It was the only
musical festival in his area.
The entire program was
competitive, thus giving
child an equal chance i n
entry. They were graded in
and “B" class.
