W, Bonthron returned home after spending a week with her son-in-law and daugh­ ter, Mr. and Mrs. Mac Greer, in London, Bride-Elect Honoured A very pleasant evening was spent at the home of Mrs. Geo, Hess when a number of neigh­ bors and friends gathered in honour of Miss Lepore Normin­ ton, bride of the week. During the evening games and contests were enjoyed, after bride was presented beautiful and useful a prettily decorated pink and white. The bride ex­ pressed her sincere thanks. Re­ freshments were served. Mrs, T. Sherritt, Mrs. Hess and Mrs, Walter Carlisle’ were responsible for the delightful evening. Mrs. J. K. Irvin was hostess to the Arnold Circle Evening Auxiliary, with Mrs. William Brown presiding. Mrs. J. E. Mc­ Ewen presented the devotional and Mrs. Harry Hoy read the scripture. Mrs. Clarence Volland contributed an article" from the Presbyterian Record and Mrs. L. Baynhani an article from the Glad Tidings. Mrs. P. A. Fergu­ son gave a report of the college choir heard in Knox Presbyterian Church, Goderich. Mrs. A. W. Kerslake gave the study of the continued missionary work in Japan.
