Busy time at St. Anne’s
Obituaries
With Brittany Nigh
The first week of Advent always
marks a busy time on the calendar.
Many of us are reminded there are
only three more weeks of shopping
until Christmas.
However, this year St. Anne’s
students in a Grade 12 religion class
are advocating a “Buy-Less”
Christmas. Their campaign includes
raising awareness about
consumerism and local poverty.
Students are being encouraged to
donate to the Huron County
Christmas Bureau to support this
group’s efforts!
On Friday, Dec. 11, the St. Anne’s
gym will be transformed into Paris.
This year’s semi-formal, Soirée a
Paris is sure to be host to a great
evening for the hundreds of guests.
A reminder that our Super-
Amazing African Culture Night is
on Thursday, Dec. 3 at St. Anne’s!
Tickets are available by calling the
school at 519-482-5454. All moneys
raised will help to build a high
school in the Masai Mara, Kenya.
Deadlines for university and
college applications are quickly
approaching. Make sure you
encourage any Grade 12 students as
this is a very anxious time for them.
If you need any more information
regarding anything going on at St.
Anne’s, check out our website:
http://sacss.hpcdsb.edu.on.ca. As
always, thanks for all your support
and helping the Eagles to fly.
