Thank you to Linda and Jim for hosting and Vickie, Bill, Paul and Janice and the grandchildren for all their hard work. Thank you to our family and friends for coming to help us celebrate our 50th anniversary and for all the beautiful cards, best wishes and gifts. We were overwhelmed by the donations and food for the Food Bank and we thank you very much. We appreciate your thoughtfulness. This was a day we will always remember. – Doug and Florence. 38-1p -------------------------------------------- RICHMOND. It was a surprise and an honour to be nominated for Brussels “Citizen of the Year”. Thank you to The Citizen for the plaque and sponsoring this award, also to the Brussels United Church for recognition at the Sunday service. This would not be possible without the support of my husband, Bob, and all others in the community who I have the privilege to volunteer with. – Rene Richmond. 38-1p McCALL. The family of Doris McCall would like to thank everyone for their kindness since her passing. The cards, calls, flowers, food brought to our homes, stories, memories and tears were all very much appreciated. Since May, Doris received wonderful care from the staff at Huronlea and great support from her friends who reside there. Frank and Jennie Schimanski’s expertise made the difficult task of planning a funeral a little bit easier. The service performed by Pastor Sandra Cable and Reverend Cathrine Campbell was a very fitting farewell for our mother. Our sincere appreciation goes to the United Church Ladies for the hard work and dedication involved. Thank you ladies – Doris would have been so pleased. To Bob and Debbie Thomas and their family who put on a wonderful meal between visitations, for all of us, there are no words to properly thank you. Better friends cannot be found. And, how did those jobs in your neighbour’s yard magically get done – thank you, Debbie. We will miss her but Bruce called his Doris home to dance with him and who can argue with that. – Sharon and Tom, Bonnie and Barry, Bob and Bonnie, Ross and Fran and families. 38-1 -------------------------------------------- NESBITT.
