Clinton, son of Guy and Olive were
married Nov. 14, 1959 in Brussels.
Their bridal attendants were Bruce
and Joy Allen.
Fifty years later they celebrated
that event with an open house at their
son’s home on Sunday.
The Iveses have lived at RR2,
Blyth since returning from their
honeymoon in Leamington. Don
worked in construction, while his
bride farmed and kept the home fires
burning. They retired in 2000.
The couple have two sons, Ken
Bird and Hugh Ives. Their family
has grown to include grandchildren,
Krista Mellin, Raven, Ryelle and
Kaylee Ives.
Don likes to spend his timereading, and he and his wife enjoytime with their grandchildren.
Special guests at the open house
were Great-Aunt Georgina, Pauline
John, cousins, nieces, nephews,great-grandchildren, neighbours andfriends. A highlight of the day was a
surprise slide show of Don and
Jean’s life together.
