Total receipts for Brussels Livestock for the week ending Sept. 11 were 1,980 head of cattle, 775 lambs and goats. On Tuesday fed steers and heifers sold on a steady market. Choice steers and heifers sold $86 to $90 with sales to $91. Second cut sold $85 to $86. Cows sold steady. On Thursday all classes of veal sold on a very strong market with prices $3 to $5 higher. Lambs sold on a good active trade with light lambs selling higher. Sheep and goats sold steady. On Friday calves sold steady, yearlings sold under pressure. There were 79 steers on offer.
