Total receipts for Brussels
Livestock for the week ending Sept.
11 were 1,980 head of cattle, 775
lambs and goats.
On Tuesday fed steers and heifers
sold on a steady market. Choice
steers and heifers sold $86 to $90
with sales to $91. Second cut sold
$85 to $86. Cows sold steady. On
Thursday all classes of veal sold on
a very strong market with prices $3
to $5 higher. Lambs sold on a good
active trade with light lambs selling
higher. Sheep and goats sold steady.
On Friday calves sold steady,
yearlings sold under pressure.
There were 79 steers on offer. John
Newans of Wroxeter, consigned one
limousin steer weighing 1,425 lbs.

Export types sold $50 to $55 with
sales to $63; beef cows, $47 to $52
with sales to $56; D1 and D2, $45 to
$51; D3, $36 to $45; D4, $26 to $36.

$160.
Sheep sold $56 to $74 with sales
to $120.
Goats: kids sold $50 to $120 with
sales to $141 per head; nannies, $75
to $100 with sales to $110 per head;
billies, $200 to $300 with sales to
$327 per head.

400 lbs. sold $106 to $170; 400 - 499
lbs., $110 to $146.50; 500 - 599 lbs.,
$100 to $126; 600 - 699 lbs., $91 to
$110.25; 700 - 799 lbs., $85 to

$99.50; 900 - 999 lbs., $84.75 to
