At its Aug. 25 meeting, Huron
East council received one appeal to
the rezoning of a property in Grey
that is being proposed as a storage
site by Ontario Greenways.
When the presentation was first
made to council months ago, there
was opposition from adjacent
property owners.
The appeal required council to
receive the appeal and reaffirm its
original rezoning bylaw, which it
did.
Several points stated as grounds
for the appeal are a possibly
offensive odour, property
values decreasing, the quality of
local water, disease, insects and
rodents.
