Country Fair.
The children presented what
they’d learned at a well-attended
program for parents on the Thursday
evening. At that program each family
received a CD of this year’s songs
and the children were able to show
off the crafts they’d completed.
Helping with crafts were Nancy
Folkard, Nancy Jardin, DorothyCoultes, Tom Murray, and CheridaMcCullough. Kim Walker was incharge of games, Doreen Marks ranthe story centre, Pat Barnes was incharge of snacks, and Lila Procterled the singing.They were helped by teens, Laura

Stennett, Brianna Yuill, Kate

for the Knox United Sunday school
with many planned special activities.

Knox hosts VBS
Let it go!
Last week in Belgrave was Vacation Bible School at Knox
United Church. All week children were spending their
mornings at the church, playing games, completing
activities and learning. One of the most popular games was
King’s Court, a form of dodgeball infused with some royalty.

FROM BELGRAVE
There were nine branches of
Huron Bay Co-operative sponsoring
a competition for best flower garden
on the property, best outdoor living
space and best container or basket
arrangement. The winners in the
Belgrave area were: Edgar Phillips,
first and Sandy Anderson, fourth for
the best flower garden on their
property; Doreen Marks (tied for
first), Donelda Cottrill (third), Patti
Craig (fourth) for the best outdoor
living space and Janette Burke
(fifth) for the best container or
basket.
Overall there were 26 people
competing in the nine locations. The
community congratulates all the
winners.
The community extends
congratulations to Matt, Ashley,
Carson and Sydney Bromley on the
birth of Brooklyn Grace who was
born at Stratford Hospital on July
30.
