At its annual general meeting this past June, Andrew Williams, president and CEO, HPHA, reportedon the service planning work thathas been done and presented theorganization’s VISION 2013framework. His report outlined thekey drivers of the framework, itscore principles, the foundational work completed to date as well as the Alliance’s commitment to engage the community in the ongoing development of the framework. Williams’ presentation can be viewed on the HPHA websiteat www.hpha.ca. “While we are always interested inhearing from our communities andvalue the input from our LocalAdvisory Committees, it is now timeto go out to our communities in a more formal way. With input from the residents of St. Marys, Stratford, Clinton, Seaforth and the surrounding areas, we are confident that we can build a workable plan for the delivery of hospital-based healthservices both now and in the future,”said Williams. The workshops will be held from 7- 9 p.m. in a cross-section ofcommunities served by the Alliance.Residents from these communities and all of the surrounding areas are invited to register to participate in one of the workshops. Residents can register for a workshop on-line at www.hpha.ca or by calling 519-272- 8210 Ext. 2737. Registration will be confirmed bytelephone. The workshops represent the firststep in a formal, comprehensivecommunity engagement process thatincludes an on-line survey currently available at www.hpha.ca and in hard copy at each of the four Alliance hospitals, as well as broader community meetings to be scheduled later this fall.
