A huge thank you to friends and family for cards, messages and gifts, but especially for the incredible support for the Canadian Cancer Society and the Salvation Army Food Bank, in honour of our recent anniversary. We have long known the supportive spirit of the community in which we live, and we know how fortunate we are to live where we live. In these difficult economic times, the food bank needs all the help we can give, and there are few of us who don’t have family or friends who have dealt or are dealing with a cancer diagnosis. We are very grateful for your generous help for these two causes. Thanks also to the Londesboro UCW for all the hard work preparing delicious food that such a day entails. They are second to none. Last, but not least, thank you to our wonderful family – Kelly and Lisa in particular – for planning such a special day, complete with many special touches – most creative, (although some devious) that have made such lasting memories for us. We are very fortunate and most grateful. – Barb and Allan Bosman. 30-1 -------------------------------------------- McARTER. It was a great day to celebrate with family, friends and our wedding party on the occasion of our 50th wedding anniversary. Thank you to all who dropped by with your good wishes, cards, gifts, flowers, gift certificates and donations to the Legion for wheelchair accommodations. Thanks to your generous donations we were able to give the Legion $715 towards their goal. A special thank you to our family Doug and Rhonda, Kevin and Heather, Brian and Tanya for all their hard work in planning the party. They decorated, prepared the food and anniversary cake in the afternoon, supplied dessert in the evening as well as Kevin’s beef which we thank Cardiff Catering for barbecuing. Thanks also to the Legion Ladies for preparing the salads for supper. A big thank you to our grandchildren for relating their stories of Grandpa and Grandma and also to Doug for his snapshot slide show reminiscing the old and new. We greatly enjoyed and appreciated our day and thank you all for being part of it and making it a day to remember always. – Mel and Lois McArter. 30-1 LOWE.
