June 29, 2009 at Huronlea Home for
the Aged. Born in Bismark, North
Dakota on April 29, 1922, Jean was
87 years of age.
Jean was the beloved wife of the
late William Henry Little, who
predeceased her on Sept. 20, 1997.
She was the dear mother of Janice
MacDonald of Petawawa, Pat
Schellenberger and her husband
Steve of Bornholm and Ted Little
and his wife Marlene of Brussels.
Jean was also loved by her nine
grandchildren, four great-
grandchildren and sister-in-law
Audrey Wickham of Toronto.
A sister Ruby Sloane, brother Fred
Wickham and son-in-law Jerry
MacDonald predeceased her.
A celebration of Jean’s life was
held at the Schimanski Family
Funeral Home on Thursday, July 2 at
2 p.m. with pastor Sandra Cable
officiating. Interment of Jean’s
cremated remains took place at
Blyth Union Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy,
memorial donations may be made to
the Children’s Wish Foundation.

JOAN MARGARET RILEY
Joan Riley of RR4, Goderich
passed away at her residence on
Monday, June 29, 2009. She was 52.
The former Joan Black was the
loving mother of Jodie Riley and
Jason Horton of RR4, Goderich. She
was the dear sister of Thomas andConnie Black and Keith and BarbBlack of East Wawanosh and
Murray and Jane Black of Blyth. She
will be lovingly remembered by her
nieces and nephews.
Joan was predeceased by her
parents William and Florence
(Nethery) Black and by her sister
Margery Lewis (2008).
Visitation was at McBurney
Funeral Home, Wingham on
Wednesday from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9
p.m. The funeral service was held at
the funeral home chapel onThursday at 11 a.m.Interment was in Brandon
Cemetery, Belgrave.
Memorial donations to the
Canadian Cancer Society would be
appreciated as expressions of
sympathy.

GRACE ISABELLE (NEE
DENNIS) WILBEE
Grace Wilbee passed away
peacefully at Kingston GeneralHospital with family by her sideafter a brief illness on Wednesday,
July 1, 2009. She was in her 87th
year.
Grace was the beloved wife of
Kenneth for 64 years. She was the
loving mother of June Giles
(Howard) of Athens, Ruth Paul
(Philip) of Napanee and Bruce
Wilbee (Heather) of Kitchener. She
was the cherished grandmother of
Pamela, Heather, Erin, Kenneth,
Julie, Christine, Patricia, Melissa
and Rebecca and special great-grandmother of eight. Grace was thedear sister of Elsie McSpadden of
Otterville, Florence Wood of
Mitchell, Helen Simms of Sault Ste.
Marie, Ruth Rowe of Scarborough,
Murray Dennis of Walton and Don
Dennis of Beaverton. Grace will also
be fondly remembered by many
nieces and nephews. She was
predeceased by her sister Eleanor
and brother Grant.
The family received friends at the
Wartman Funeral Home, Napanee
Chapel on Friday, July 3 from 7 - 9
p.m. and on Saturday, July 4 from
12:30 - 1:30 p.m. The funeral service
followed in the chapel at 1:30 p.m.
The committal service was on
Sunday, July 5 at 2 p.m. in Mount
Pleasant Cemetery, Ethel.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the
L&A Hospital Foundation will be
remembered with appreciation by
the family.
Remembering
The annual memorial service at Ball’s Cemetery was held last weekend, hosting so many
people that visitors were forced outside, coming prepared with lawn chairs to participate in the
