J: Can you believe it? We made it!
The end of Grade 8 is finally here.
A: It seems like almost yesterday
we came back from summer holidays,
ready to start Grade 8, and to be the
oldest in the school. We have come a
long way from when we were in
kindergarten to now.
J: We didn’t all start school
together.
A: Some of us were the final
kindergarten class at Walton Public
School and some of our classmates
have moved away. But some of you
have moved here to SPS.
J: We have all had to change our
schools throughout our elementary
years from the old SPS on Market
Street to here, the new SPS.
A: Or the old high school as some
of our parents remember it.
J: This year we enjoyed many
different things, cross country, soccer,
volleyball, basketball, track and field
and baseball.
A: To top off our whole year we
went to Camp Celtic. Nothing but four
days of straight fun.
J: We made a lot of new friends and
have many great memories.
A: Like when Craig and William
fell out of their kayaks.
J: Or having to do crazy things like
eating a spoonful of ketchup and
mustard.
A: Or spelling your name with your
butt, just because you had your
elbows on the table.
J: Our trip wouldn’t have been
possible without Mrs. Reynolds.
A: She is a great teacher to put up
with 46 crazy Grade 8s like us.
J: About the graduates of 2009:
A: Tab, Abbey, Jessie and Brittany
are always wearing the latest fashions
and are always hanging around.
J; Our class clowns Johnny, Ethan,
Tyson and Craig will always get a
smile or laugh out of you each
day.
A: Emily, Ashley W., Lana, and
Adriana are always talking about
Twilight and always have a smile
about something.
J: Then there are Kurtis and
William. They are the guys that
everyone can hang around with and
will always be around for a good
laugh.
A: Jade is always keen to start a new
project and has a vast amount of ideas
for different subjects.
J: Michael and Darcy, these two
boys are good friends and are always
playing basketball.
A: Dustin is known for his great
basketball skills and is a good
mathematician.
J: Zack always finds a way to have
fun, even though Mrs. Reynolds is
always asking for unfinished
homework.
A: Joe and Mackenzie are both
athletic, hockey in winter, soccer for
Joe and lacrosse for Mackenzie in the
summer. Always chatting sports.
J:Ashley and Melissa are best buds.
They are always together and very
athletic.
A: Sammy and Amber always have
something to talk about. From the
latest gossip to their friends.
J: Macaulay is a good goalie in
hockey and is always happy.
A: Jordan Button is a skateboarder
and has a competitive side to him.
J: Jordan Menary can be found on
the basketball court either setting
plays up or finishing them.
A: Christina is a good athlete, likes
curling and has a passion for music.
J: Owen is a faithful Leafs fan and
always keeps smiling. Even if the
Leafs lose.
A: Sandra is always giggling and
has a big smile on her face.
J: Josh can make your day
memorable from jokes or just the
things that he does.
A: Claire, Amanda, Aleshia, and
Brittney Pryce are always together
and can always find a way to make
you smile.
J: Sam Wiszniowski and Holly are
great listeners, they are always there if
you need someone to talk to.
A: Leah is a good artist and has a
great imagination.
J: Miranda always has her work
done and has the nickname Milo.
A: Sam Butt is good at sports and
always completes his work on time.
J: Both Joe C.S.and Joe G. always
find a way to stress out the teachers
with their unfinished work.
A: Julie always knows what’s going
on.
J: Marissa tends to talk a lot but she
knows a lot of things.
A: And last but not least there is
Matt, the dirt-bike king.
J:We can’t stand here today without
recognition of our teachers and staff.
A:. Mr. Steinacker, Mrs. Hoover,
Ms Carnochan, Mrs. Devereaux, Mrs.
Peach, Mrs. Barclay, our great
custodians but especially the guidance
of Mrs. Spillane and Mrs. Reynolds.
J: Mrs. Reynolds and Mrs. Griffin,
are also opening a new chapter in their
lives. We thank them for many years
of dedication to Seaforth Public
School and wish you a happy
retirement.
A: We also have to thank our
parents, without their love, support
and guidance we wouldn’t be able to
stand here today. For us, high school
will be another stepping stone and
will bring new challenges to our lives,
but with your love and guidance, will
be no problem.
J: This year has been full of
excitement and after this week we will
be saying our goodbyes to some
friends, our teachers and the building
we have called Seaforth Public
School.
A: Whether your time here was
short or long, the memories of your
Grade 8 year will be with you for a
lifetime.
J: Our graduation is not an end but a
beginning to a new life and a world of
high school. We wish you all the best
wherever life may lead.
A: Remember the good times and
where you came from. Seaforth
