CUCKSEY. From the family of the
late Brenda Cucksey. Through life
and loss we draw strength from our
family and friends. We would like to
thank those who have given us so
much love and support during the
loss of our wife, mother, daughter
and sister. Please forgive us if we
forget anyone as there are so many
who have reached out to help us with
hugs, prayers, kind gestures and
comforting words but we would like
to send a heartfelt thank you to each
and every one of you. To Reverend
Wayne Beamer for catching in
words the essence of Brenda and
giving a tribute so representative of
her life and for your support and
caring when we needed it most. To
our many friends and family who
sent floral tributes, food and
donations, Myrtle and Larry Badley,
Sharon and Bruce Bromley for your
generosity and food during
visitations, etc. To the pallbearers
and flower bearers, thank you for
giving Brenda that final kindness as
we laid her to rest. To Dr. Greg
Antoniadis and his staff at the clinic,
the hospital and chemo unit staff for
making Brenda’s journey through
this battle not only bearable but gave
her the support, understanding and
caring that gave her the ability to
enjoy every day to the fullest while
she was here. To the staff at
Huronview and Huronlea for having
such a beautiful service in memory
of Brenda, it truly touched our
hearts. To Luann’s Flowers for the
beautiful floral tributes done for the
family under such short notice as
well as the local florists, we greatly
appreciated all you did. To the
Bluevale United Church women for
providing a wonderful lunch after
the service. To McBurney Funeral
Home, Doug and the staff who not
only provided great service to the
family but moral support and
comfort in such a caring and
understanding way. This whole
journey with Brenda has been
difficult and saying goodbye was the
hardest thing we’ve had to do. What
we discovered though was that for as
much as she meant to each of us, she
also touched the lives of more
people than we ever realized and in
doing so passed on to all who knew
her some of her loving ways. A hug
when needed, sincere and caring
words, laughter and always a smile.
In knowing this, we know that she
will carry on not only through her
family and friends but in so many
ways that we may not see but will be
felt by many. Please know that
Brenda loved and cared for all of you
and appreciated every blessing life
brought her just as she would want
all of us to do now. She will be
happy with her Mom and others now
and will wait with open arms until
one day we all meet again. – Ken,
Chrystal, Jennifer, Jon, and Bridget;
Jack; Barb, Pete, Stepheny and
Devin. 24-1
