Congratulations and best wishes are extended to Matt and Dawn from the village. A 50th wedding celebration was held on Saturday, June 13 for Stan and June Johns. June’s bridesmaid, her sister, Gail Lear had an easier time taking part in the wedding 50 years ago than being part of the 50th celebrations. Gail had an ankle operated on May 28 and is sporting a cast and using a wheelchair for getting around. Otherwise Harry says Gail is doing as well as could be expected. Happy Trails Marie Webster will retire from her post at Hullett Central Public School at the end of this school year and the rest of the faculty and students assembled on Monday to show her how much she will be missed. She received several gifts and was the guest of honour at a barbecue lunch. She also was presented with a retirement cake, which she proceeded to cut with the school’s Peacemakers.
