Men’s choir practice, Sunday
Continued from page 34
Christ is referred to by a variety of
names, including the good shepherd.
Followers are His flock and He cares
for them in all the ways that a
shepherd would care for his flock of
sheep, even giving his life for them.
God’s sheep are the followers who
have come to know God and want to
serve Him, sheep in action. As God’s
sheep followers are called upon to
share their faith to the world.
However, Rev. Cook noted that
followers don’t have to be just
another sheep. While doing God’s
work they can bring their own
personalities and talents. We should
all be living examples of Christ in
the community.
Rev. Cook prayed that all
followers and confirmands would
have the wisdom, courage and
confidence for that work.
The men’s choir will gather for
practice on Sunday, May 10 at 9:45
a.m.

Bill Creighton, a retired
professional wildlife biologist, now
living in Goderich, has spent a
lifetime in artistically capturing the
animals and plant life of the region.
His paintings which show a passion
and a concern for the environment,
will be featured during the month of
May in the Goderich Co-op Gallery.
Painting at first exclusively in
watercolours, Creighton now also
shows paintings in oils and pastels.
Creighton’s concern for the
natural environment has prompted
him to donate many paintings and
prints to Ducks Unlimited, the
World Wildlife Fund, The ruffed
Grouse Society of Canada and the
Ontario Wild Turkey Foundation
helping to raise funds for these
groups to protest this wildlife.
Hopefully through Creighton’s
painting of wild orchids, these
plants too will become more
protected and appreciated.
He says, “I try to capture these
breathtaking plants but also the
environment in which they grow.”
His art has won numerous awards,
and been exhibited across Canada.
He is represented in many private
collections in Canada, the United
States and Europe.
The gallery is open from Monday
to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and a
working artist is always on duty.
