Turnberry and formerly of Toronto
passed away at Wingham & District
Hospital, on Saturday, March 21,
2009. He was 85.
Lloyd was the beloved husband of
the former Katherine Wilkes. He was
the dear father of Richard Everett
and Anne of Port Sydney, Violet
Everett of Kitchener, Lawrence
Everett and Ruth of Brussels, Daniel
Everett and Jane of Toronto, Stanley
Everett of London, David Everett of
Kitchener and Paul Everett and
Franka of Lefroy. He was the brother
of Ruth McCarthy in New
Brunswick, and will also be lovingly
remembered by 10 grandchildren
and seven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents
Lloyd and Elizebeth Everett, three
sisters and three brothers.
Visitation was at the McBurney
Funeral Home, Wingham on
Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
The funeral service was held in the
funeral home chapel on Wednesday
at 11 a.m. Rev. Wayne Beamer
officiated.
Interment is in Wingham
Cemetery.
Memorial donations to Canadian
Cancer Society would be
appreciated as expressions of
sympathy.
DORIS HOOPER
Doris Eileen (LeMasurier) Hooper
RN, formerly of Morris Twp., passed
away at the Fordwich Village
Nursing Home on Thursday, March
19, 2009. Born in Toronto onJanuary 2, 1912, Doris was in her
98th year.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Francis E. Hooper, who
predeceased her in 1985. Doris was
the dear mother of Helen deFinta of
Marshall, Michigan, James Hooper
and Carolyn of Simcoe, Eileen Stead
of Madoc, Valerie Chalmers of Port
Perry and John Hooper of Vancouver
Island, B.C. She was also loved by
her 10 grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.
Brothers Bill and Clifford
predeceased her.
Cremation has taken place.
Doris’ family will receive friends
for a Celebration of her Life on
Saturday, April 18 from 2 - 4 p.m. at
the Schimanski Family Funeral
Home.
As an expression of sympathy,
memorial donations to St. John’s
Anglican Church, Brussels would be
appreciated.

JOSEPH PATRICK MAHON
Joseph Patrick Mahon of Clinton
passed away at Clinton Public
Hospital on March 19, 2009. He was
in his 68th year.
Mr. Mahon was the beloved
husband of Jean Mahon for 44 years.
He was the loving father of Steven
Mahon and his partner Sulin Beaton,
Guelph, Catherine Mahon and her
partner Michael Froggatt, Waterloo,
Michael and Tina Mahon,
Brucefield, and Debra and DennisMcCollum, Elmira.
He will be lovingly remembered
as “Papa” by his grandchildren
Samantha, Natasha, Zachary,
Alysha, Kristy, Stephanie and
Michayla Mahon and Ryan, Lindsey
and Nolan McCollum. Mr. Mahon is
survived as well by his brothers and
sisters Bernie and Joe O’Reagan,
Leo Mahon, Michael and Kathleen
Mahon, Peggy Mahon, Marjorie
Mahon and brothers- and sisters-in-
law Loreen Raithby, Shirley and Ray
Drager, Gary and Marg Addison and
Karen and Neil Elson. He will also
be missed by cherished nieces and
nephews all of Ireland.
Mr. Mahon was predeceased by
his infant son Wayne Joseph (1967),
his parents Patrick and Mary
(O’Shea) Mahon and siblings
Matthew Mahon, John Mahon, Lilly
Mahon, Nellie Kilbride and Maura
Mahon, all of Ireland.
Friends were received at the
Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd., 153
High St., Clinton on Monday, March
23 from noon until the time of
funeral service at 2 p.m. Pastor Dan
Steadman officiated.
Spring interment will be in Burn’s
Cemetery.

THOMPSON
Mr. John Edward Thompson of
Bluevale passed away at Wingham
& District Hospital, North Huron(Wingham) on Thursday, March 19,
2009. He was in his 78th year.
He was the beloved husband of the
former Margaret McNall. Mr.
Thompson was the dear father of
Jannette and her husband Kevin
Voisin of Heidelberg, Murray and
wife Audrey Thompson of Auburn,
Steve and wife Nancy Thompson of
Wingham and Danny and wife
Brenda Thompson of Kitchener. He
will be lovingly remembered by his
grandchildren Steven, Shannon and
Scott, Jacklyn and Jordan, Jason and
Tanya, Tristen, Sabrina, Brandi,
Nicole, Jessica, Tina and Eric,
Samantha and Heather, and great-
grandchildren Austin, Keegan and
Jordan. He was the brother of Bill
and Shirley Thompson, Bob and
Janette Thompson and Sharon and
Vic Stackhouse, and brother-in-law
of Dorothy Thompson.
His parents John and Dorothy
Thompson, his son William Grant,
his brothers Donnie and Jim, and his
sisters Mary Lou, Gail and Kathleen
(Kay) predeceased him.
Visitation was at the McBurney
Funeral Home, Wingham on Sunday
from 2-4 p.m., and 7- 9 p.m. The
funeral service was held at the
funeral home chapel on Monday at
11 a.m. Rev. Harvey Osborne
officiated.
Interment is in Wingham
Cemetery.
