By Makayla Tyerman The fifth meeting of the Grey 4-H Snickerdoodles was held at Tracey Swart’s. The meeting began with the 4-H pledge. The leaders said the members would be making cakes. One group made an angel food cake from a box, the next group made a chocolate chiffon cake from scratch, and the third group made a butter cake, also from scratch. The angel food cake was done first, then that group made some strawberry fluff icing and decorated the cake for snack. It was very tasty. They made up trivia questions for the achievement day to be held at the Cranbrook Hall on April 4 from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. The leaders asked that every member make a pie for the achievement program. The project books need to be completed so they can go on display that same morning. Taking the cake The Grey 4-H Snickerdoodles are getting ready for their achievement day to be held in a couple of weeks. At their most recent meeting they enjoyed a tasty lesson baking cakes, including a chocolate chiffon. From left: Adam Baan, Johanna Blake, Chelsey Terpstra, Sam Fretz and Dalton Hamilton.
