The call to worship was followed

Confession and the first hymn All
Glory Laud and Honour. The
scripture lesson was Genesis 8: 8-16.
The children came to the front for
their story time. Rev. Gary Clark
asked them what they thought of
when they saw a rainbow. He
explained to them that the rainbow is
a sign of God’s promise to neverflood the Earth again. The childrensaid a prayer and sang the song Deepand Wide, with the actions, thenwent downstairs for their time ofworship. The second scripture lesson wasMatthew 6: 1-18.The choir sang the anthem,Wonderful Grace of Jesus.
Rev. Clark’s message to the
adults was, But When You Fast.
When people fast for days they
will get the feeling of what a lot of
people of the world feel like.
This global recession is like
the great flood, he said. Transition
will take a long time. The
church offers hope and faith
that things will change in the future.
The next hymn, Forgive Our Sins
was sung.
