O’REILLY (TOWNSEND). Dean
John O’Reilly was born on Sunday,
December 21, 2008 at 1:47 a.m. at
Stratford General Hospital weighing
8 lbs. 10 oz. Big brother Ben and
parents Jim and Charlene are
thrilled. Dean is loved grandchild #6
for George and Ruth Townsend and
#27 for Jack and Margaret O’Reilly.
Great-grandma Jean Mathers and
many aunts, uncles and cousins also
welcome Dean into the family. 09-1
O’REILLY (TOWNSEND). The
love, support and prayers our family
has received since Dean’s arrival has
been truly overwhelming, and it will
never be forgotten. Thank you to
Rebekah, Liza and the doctors and
nurses at SGH and London
Children’s Hospital for Dean’s
excellent care. Thank you to our
families, friends, neighbours and the
community for the emails, phone
calls, cards, gifts, food and offers of
help. A very special thank you to
Grandma and Grandpa Townsend for
taking such good care of Ben during
our hospital stays. A big thank you
also to Grandma Townsend and Aunt
Grace Campbell for looking after all
of us since we’ve been home. – Love
Jim, Charlene, Ben and Dean
O’Reilly. 09-1
GLOUSHER. From the family of
the late Betty Glousher – goodbye is
never easy but thanks to the love and
support of our many friends and
family members our grief has been
eased immensely as our dear wife,
mother and grandmother was called
home. There are so many people to
thank and if we forget anyone,
please know that every word,
gesture, prayer and hug has made a
tremendous difference to all of us in
our time of loss. To Rev. Beamer,
you not only gave a very fitting
tribute to Betty, (Mom and Gramma)
catching her personality and life but
you gave us support and
understanding when we needed it
most. To all our friends and
neighbours who sent food and floral
tributes, Myrtle and Larry Badley
and Sharon and Bruce Bromley who
provided a wonderful meal to our
family between visitations, thank
you for being so thoughtful and
caring. This has been a difficult time
for us and the rallying of family and
friends has made it all much easier.
CNS, Jackie Garness from homecare
and to all the nurses and doctors at
the Wingham and District Hospital –
we thank you for your concern,
compassionate care and
understanding. We hope you all
know how much Betty loved and
cared for you and appreciated
everything done for her as well. We
are sure she is smiling down on us all
and patiently waiting until one day
we again will meet. – Jack, Brenda,
Barb, Penny and families. 09-1p

KIKKERT. This is a big thank you to
Don Hamilton and Steve Coulter
who called 9-1-1 and tried to save
my van while it was on fire. Thanks
to the Brussels Fire Department for
putting the fire out before it
destroyed Mom and Dad’s shed and
home. We are thankful for all you
did. And also, thanks to Mary Ann
who helped move Mom and Dad’s
vehicles out of the way, and who
wanted to find marshmallows to
roast over my van. Sisters are the
best! Hopefully we can soon replace
our van with another big ugly one –
maybe even uglier than Fireman
John’s. P.S. Please don’t tell Dad
what I did to his shed. – Cindy
Kikkert. 09-1p
