SCHWARTZENTRUBER. We owe
a huge “thank you” to the many
people who responded so generously
in various ways in the wake of our
barn fire. Firstly, to Tom Cronin who
woke us up to tell us about it! Tom,
your timely action saved a lot of
livestock. Thank you. To Alan who
helped put things into perspective by
pointing out that it was the barn, not
the house. To all the neighbours who
helped with livestock containment,
sorting and loading – Douwa, we
recommend you to the Argos as a
linebacker after the block you threw
on that calf! To the neighbours who
brought “Timmies” to the
firefighters and all the folks who
were helping. To Lisa, for instantly
providing a huge, hot noon meal for
a large crew. Chicken and rice, that’s
nice! To Tom and Brian for making a
barn available on the spot. To the
many other neighbours and
businesses who brought food and
other gifts, who loaned feeding
equipment and offered feed and
shelter for the cattle. It is a time like
this that shows the immeasurable
value of a good community like ours
and we are deeply grateful to all who
have helped make our lives easier in
these circumstances. Because of the
immense amount of help we
received, I am sure we have uninten-
tionally overlooked someone who
deserves special mention. Please
accept this as your own “thank you”.
Your kindnesses will be long
remembered. And finally, thank you
to the Wingham Fire Department for
their very professional service. –
John and Judy Schwartzentruber and
family. 01-1

DAER. In loving memory of our
parents and grandparents, Bert who
passed away on March 25, 1998 and
Dorothy who passed away on
January 5, 2003.
Our hearts are full of memories,
We treasure them with care,
The way you had to leave us,
Will always seem unfair.
Sad are the hearts that loved you,
Silent are the tears that fall,
We will never have a greater gift,
Than the times that were shared by
all.
– Sadly missed but lovingly
remembered by all your families.
