THE TORONTO Mil SYNDICATE.
The beguiling smile belongs to Shawn, soon to be five.
• Irish and Hungarian in descent, handsome Shawn has
sparkling bine eyes, light brown hair and fair, clear skin. lie is
in good health except for a tendency to colds and bronchitis.
Shawn's nursery ,school teacher and his foster parents find
him a co-operative little fellow. Ile likes M sing and enjoys the
creative activities at ,school,
Shawn is not expected to be academically minded and is slow
in language development. His communication now is more
likely lobe by smiles and frowns than by words, but he is having
speech therapy and is making excellent progress.
Shown gets. on fine with other children in groups but seems to
lack the initiative and confidence to try to make friends with one
child at a time, Ile is friendly with adults and affectionate with
people he knows well, •
Shawn likes picture books and plays happily with building
blocks and toy trains.
This engaging youngster needs parents who will give him a
great deal of warmth and affection and who will want to help
him with his language development,
To inquire about adopting Shawn, please write to Today's
Child, Box 888, Station K, Toronto. For general adoption in-
formation, please contact your local Children's Aid Society.
