Santa came to Clinton the last two Saturdays to hear
requests for gifts and to hand out goodies to Clinton and
area children who have been good the'past year. He'll be
back this Sunday night, to visit all those who deserve it.
Strange, but he looks familiar.,
Madeleine Lane
auxiliary meets
The Madeleine Lane
Auxiliary of St. Andrew's
Presbyterian Church held their
Deceibber meeting at the home
of Mrs. Robt. Homuth on Mon-
day evening, December 11th,
Following a delicious potluck
supper, the meeting opened
with a Christmas worship ser-
vice "Room For All", with
several members participating.
During the business period a
most satisfactory report of the
Fall Bazaar and Tea was
received. Further plans were
made concerning the concert
which is to be presented by the
Schneider Male Chorus, of Kit-
chener, May second.
Volunteers were asked to
come to the council chambers
on Thursday, .December 14 to
assist in gift wrapping packages
and packing hampers to be
distributed by the Welfare
Council of Huron County
before Christmas.
Correspondence from the
Unitarian Service Committee
acknowledged the receipt of
shirts for children of Pakistan,
and it was gratifying to learn
that 5000 shirts had been ship-
ped from London and area. '
The repeating of the Mizpah
Benediction brought the
meeting to a close. Then a jolly
Santa arrived to distribute gifts
to everyone in an atmosphere
of fun and frolic, after which
carol singing was enjoyed.
A hearty vote of thanks was
extended to the hostess for a
delightful evening.
