Stuff only
when ready
Certain foods, to be enjoyed
during the holiday season, can
be prepared in advance.
However, food specialists at the
Ontario Food Council, Ministry
of Agriculture and Food warn
against stuffing your Christmas
turkey the night before. ypultry,
stuffing is moik,'ancrgenerally
a perfect environment for rapid
bacterial growth.
All poultry should be cooked
as soon as it is stuffed. Stuff the
bird loosely to allow heat to
penetrate more quickly
throughout the stuffing.
Remember, never stuff ahead
of time—the time you save is
not worth the risk of rapid bac-
terial growth.
