Festive Holland Santa
smooth, then gradually add re-
maining ingredients.) Mixture
should he smooth and spread-
able. Stuff the mixture into the
shell and cover with top.
Form eyes and eyebrows
from slices of marshmallow.
The sticky side of the marsh-
mallow will adhere easily to
the wax coating. Use a fat
candied red cherry for the
nose and slices of candied
green cherries for the centres
of the eyes. The beard is cot-
ton batting stuck to the wax by
poking the top edge with a
pointed pick. Outline sliced off
portion with cotton and place
marshmallow in the centre to
form the tassel of Santa's cap.
Keep in refrigerator until one
hour before serving. Place
Santa on a pedestal. Surround
with crisp crackers and fresh
vegetable slices.
FOR CHIP DIP: Use more
mayonnaise to make softer
mixture.

OBITUARIES
Two long-time devoted
friends of the Church and
congregation of St. James, Mid-
dleton, have passed away
recently.
The Rev. John Graham
B.A.Lth., a native of Belfast
Ireland, was the incumbent rec-
tor of Bayfield (Trinity) and
St. James during the years 1939
to 1944 inclusive. Mrs. Graham
was President of the W.A.
Deanery of Huron at that time.
The snow and cold didn't seem to bother Debbie Rodges
of Goderich as she collected funds for the Salvation Army
at their Christmas Kettle outside of Stedman's in Clinton'
last Saturday. The money goes to buy food hampers for
needy families in Huron County this Christmas. (News-
Record photo)
