Ten members were present at
the L.A. meeting at the home of

unable to fill the position,
The lad have been successful
in finding a Cub assistant and
they are hopeful that the group
will commence meetings in the
near future.

the home of Mrs. John Siertse-

BROWNIES
Everyone was present at
Brownies. We had our Brownie
and Sixer songs. Ruthie De
Rnyfer was fairy queen. Lori
TOM. and Dawn Memel'
brought items for their collec-
tors , badge, Brownies played
the-game I brought, Brown Owl
practised enrollment exorcises
with our Tweenies. They are to
be enrolled next week on Tues,
night, We closed with our
Brownie songs.

quois Falls; is home with his
parents Mr. and Mrs. A, F.
Scotehmer until after the New
Year,
Mrs. Jackie Moss, Toronto,
was the weekend guest of Mr.

Mr. and Mrs, Ken Mackie,
Jimmy, Steven and Joanne,
London, were weekend visitors
at their village home.
Mr. and Mrs. Art Latimer,
Bill, Gil and Christy, Toronto,
were with her mother, Mrs. Gil-
bert Knight for the weekend.
Mr. Norman Brown and fami-
ly, London, were at their cot-
tage for the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Dave Watson,
Sudbury, visited Saturday with
the E. W. Erickson family.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Westlake
spent the weekend recently in
Detroit, Midi., as the guests of
her aunt Mrs. Norman Toms.
Mr. Rick Westlake, Mr. Randy
MacPherson, Miss Lynda Ren-
shaw and Miss Barbara Elliott,
Kitchener, were last weekend
guests of the former's parents
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Westlake.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Westlake,
Catharine and. Paul, Miss Bar-
bara Elliott and Mr. Rick Mom-
ersteeg, attended Open House
at Conestoga College in Kitche-
ner on Sunday.
Messrs. Dave and Paul Belli-
schroth were registered guests
at the Albion Hotel last week-
end while on a fishing holiday.

Church Sunday morning were

music was provided by the
Snell trio who sang "The Pray-
er of Love" and "A Bridge Over
Troubled Waters". Rev, Me-
Donald's message was "The

AIMWELL UNIT
The Aimwell unit of the COW
held the November meeting at
the home of Margaret Whyte
with 17 members and one
tor present. The president,
Ruth Vincent, called the meet-
ing to order and a hymn was
sung. Ruth also read the scrip-
ture and gave the meditation.
She then led n prayer,
11 was decided to send a dona-
tion to the Children's Aid Socie-
ty. The unit family Christmas
party is to be December 10 at
6;30 p.m. It will be a potluck
supper. The committee for the
program is Norma Glousher,
Beth Knox, Ferne McClure and
Caroline Thompson. The table
committee is Betty Rulley, Ruth
Vincent, Marjorie Duizer and
Muriel Sewers. There will be
candy for the children.
The general potluck supper
will be December 4 at 6:30 p.m.
Mr. McDonald will be the guest
speaker and Nona Pipe will
give a demonstration of Christ-
mas ideas.
Everyone in the congregation
is reminded to hand in their
Christmas Bells by the end of
the year. The executive meet-
ing will be Wednesday, January
3, at 1 p.m. sharp at Margaret
Whyte's.
The nominating committee
report was given by .Addle
flunking; leader Mary Peel;
secretary, Marjorie Duizer;
treasurer, Vi Burns.
The members then participat-
ed in making Christmas favours
for the patients in -Clinton Hos-
pital. Beth Knox and Norma
Glousher served lunch,

Mrs. Jessie Jones visited the

Greg of Hanover spent the
weekend with his mother, Mrs.

Rev. S. McDonald and Nor-
man Alexander, presbytery
delegate for Londesboro, at-
tended the sessions of Huron-
Perth Presbytery in Brucefield
United Church on Thursday.
Mrs, Joe Shaddick and Mrs.
Mary Robinson of Goderich
spent a couple of days in Strat-
ford the past week and visited
Miss Edythe Lockhart, a heart
patient in Stratford Hospital.
Mr. McDonald was a guest at
the reception in Auburn Com-
munity Centre on Saturday and
also conducted the wedding
service in Donnybrook United
Church for Mr. and Bill Millian.

The Christmas meeting of the
United Church Women will be
held at the Church on Decem-
ber seventh, at 8 p.m, There
will be a demonstration of mak-
ing Christmas candles and each
member is asked to bring a
guest. The Roll Call will be
answered by a donation to the
C,N.I.B.
The first bowling party of the
season of the members of the
Orange Lodge and their wives
will be on Friday evening De-
cember first at 9 p.m. A social
hour afterwards will be held at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wat-
son Webster.
Rev. J. C. Thompson of Lon-
don, representative of the Cana-
dian Bible Society, spoke in the
United Church last Sunday. A
canvass by the Session of the
United Church will be made in
the near future.
The annual meeting of L.O.L.
1035 will be held in the Orange
Hall on Tuesday evening, De-
cember fifth.
