Rev, Me- Donald's message was "The Palace Cripple Mephiboseth", AIMWELL UNIT The Aimwell unit of the COW held the November meeting at the home of Margaret Whyte with 17 members and one tor present. The president, Ruth Vincent, called the meet- ing to order and a hymn was sung. Ruth also read the scrip- ture and gave the meditation. She then led n prayer, 11 was decided to send a dona- tion to the Children's Aid Socie- ty. The unit family Christmas party is to be December 10 at 6;30 p.m. It will be a potluck supper. The committee for the program is Norma Glousher, Beth Knox, Ferne McClure and Caroline Thompson. The table committee is Betty Rulley, Ruth Vincent, Marjorie Duizer and Muriel Sewers. There will be candy for the children. The general potluck supper will be December 4 at 6:30 p.m. Mr. McDonald will be the guest speaker and Nona Pipe will give a demonstration of Christ- mas ideas. Everyone in the congregation is reminded to hand in their Christmas Bells by the end of the year. The executive meet- ing will be Wednesday, January 3, at 1 p.m. sharp at Margaret Whyte's. The nominating committee report was given by .Addle flunking; leader Mary Peel; secretary, Marjorie Duizer; treasurer, Vi Burns. Cowan. Rev. S. McDonald and Nor- man Alexander, presbytery delegate for Londesboro, at- tended the sessions of Huron- Perth Presbytery in Brucefield United Church on Thursday. Mrs, Joe Shaddick and Mrs. Mary Robinson of Goderich spent a couple of days in Strat- ford the past week and visited Miss Edythe Lockhart, a heart patient in Stratford Hospital. Mr. McDonald was a guest at the reception in Auburn Com- munity Centre on Saturday and also conducted the wedding service in Donnybrook United Church for Mr. and Bill Millian. 13111 is the son of Mrs. Charles Merrill of the Base Line. The Roll Call will be answered by a donation to the C,N.I.B. The first bowling party of the season of the members of the Orange Lodge and their wives will be on Friday evening De- cember first at 9 p.m. A social hour afterwards will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wat- son Webster. Rev. J. C. Thompson of Lon- don, representative of the Cana- dian Bible Society, spoke in the United Church last Sunday. A canvass by the Session of the United Church will be made in the near future. The annual meeting of L.O.L. 1035 will be held in the Orange Hall on Tuesday evening, De- cember fifth.
