The Fish & Game Cub Ban-
tams opened their season Sat.
urday, Nov. 18, against Grand
Bend and came out of a rugged
contest with a 3-3 tie. Rob
Heard scored 2 and Neil Colq-
uhoun one, in a game which saw,
14 penalties as these two rivals
of Pee Wee of two years ago
took up where they left off in
March of 1971.
On Tuesday, Nov. 21, the boys
took off on a scoring spree in
Zurich, getting stronger as the
game progressed with three in
the first, four in the second and

year at the Youth Bowling
Council's Seventh Annual Sen-
ior Mixed Championships held
at Rexdale last Sunday.
The young bowlers from Clin-
ton had several good scores but

the high average of 225.
In the Wil-Dex League, Hei-
delburgs have a strangle hold
on first place with 20 points.
Red Caps and Octoberfest are
tied for second with 11 each
and Molson's Brewers trail with
8 points. Pat Elliott had the la-
dies' high single of 203 and Don
Gower had the men's high sin-
gle of 230.
In the Londesboro Ladies'
League, Jump-N-Beens have a
wide margin with 57 points over
second place Jelly Beens who

ice in a playing mood and from
the opening face-off, they were
able to contain the Hawks with
excellent forechecking and
backchecking, The final score
was 7.5 for the Mustangs.
Earlier, on Friday night, the
Mustangs travelled to Tavistoek
and handed the Braves a 5,3
defeat.
The four point weekend lifted
the Mustangs out of the celler
This year's team up to this
point is made up of Rob Harkes
and Don Peterson in goal, Dave
Archibald, Bill Ray, John Fee-
ney, Frank Flynn, Allan Taylor
and Steve Steel on defence.
The forward lines are: Paul
Priestap, centre, Neil Colquh
oun; Dave Counter, Dave Glyn,

Goal scorers. in the Exeter
game were Brian Kennedy,
Mike Anstett and Gary Cum-
mings, each witn two and Pete
Thayer had one.
The Clinton Colts in the first
two games of the year have a
win and a loss to their credit.
Last Thursday night at home,
the Colts dropped a heartbreak-
er to the Listowel Jets to the
tune of 3-2. Being definitely out-'
played and outscored (2.0) in
the first period the Colts came
back strong in the last period to
out-hustle their northern visi-
tors but failed to outscore them.
Colts scoring plays were Greg
Burns assisted by Greg Jervis
and Rick Fremlin on a solo ef-
fort. The strongest part of the
Colts defence was the hard
bodychecks the Colt's defence
(Bartliff, Lyndon, Meriam and
Carter) handed out on attacking
Listowel forwards.
On Sunday afternoon, the
Colts travelled to Lucknow, to
play the Sepoys. A goaltender's
game it was not, as the Colts
finally outlasted the Sepoys 9-7.
Down 7.5 with ten minutes
left to play, Bruce Lyndon blast-
ed one by the Lucknow goalie
to come within one. Then Don
Bartliff, who received nine
stitches earlier in the game,
returned to score the tying goal
a minute later. "Joe" Livermore
who didn't play against the Jets
then set Don MacDougall up
with the winner 'as he stole the
puck from the Lucknow de.
