It opened with the 4-H Pledge and roll call which was answered by 13 members. The next meeting was held on Monday,. November 6th in the Londesboro Hall. We discussed our notes and made sandwiches out of what we brought, We closed with lunch. ,The sixth meeting of Lon- desboro 1 was held on Novem- ber 6 and we discussed our notes, Our next meeting will be held on Monday, November 20th at 7:30 in the Londesboro Hall, We closed with lunch which consisted of cookies. The purpose was given followed by "This is my Father's World". Scripture was read ,by Christine Carter. Mrs. Margaret Whyte an- nounced the general meeting will be December 4th with a pot-luck supper at 6:30 p.m. There will be a demonstration on Christmas decorations. VS EXETER Teachers have session CUB MEETING The United Church observed youth Sunday last week with counsellors of Londesboro Hi-C Group, Donna and Robert Shaddick, greeting members as they entered the sanctuary. Ushers were Brian and Larry Jewitt, Alan Peel, and Gerald. Riley. Bob Stoner and Ken Scott led in singing before the service. Scripture lesson was read by Jim Thompson followed by prayer by Marsha McNall. The choir sang "Without Love, No Feeling" and Bob Stoner sang a solo "Lord of the Dance". Rev. McDonald introduced Mr. Paul Dunsmore of Strat- ford, commissioner to the General Council of the United Church, who gave a report on the conference he attended in August at Saskatoon. He spoke on "Liberation", a new name for development. The flowers in the church were in loving memory of Mr. Harvey Taylor, placed there by the family. The Explorers wish to express their thanks for donations of $42.28 to UNICEF. Miss Edythe Beacom, Mrs. Laura Lyon and Mrs. Bert Brunsdon spent Saturday in London. Miss Beacom poured tea at Trinity Chapter O.E.S. tea. They also visited Mr. Ron Neil and Douglas and Mr. Bert Brunsdon, Westminster Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Allen spent Monday and Tuesday deer hunting in Bruce. Mrs. Manny Dalrymple and girls, Brucefield, visited on Sun- day with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gaunt. Mr. Paul Dunsmore of Strat- ford. spent Sunday with Rev. McDonald. At the Cub meeting on Tuesday evening in the church, five boys were tested by the eubmaster, Mr. McDonald, and - passed all tests under the Ten- derpad requirements. They were Cubs Cameron Moon, John Lawson, Bobby Penfound, Bert Middigaal and Neil Cartwright The boys will receive their scar- ves and he invested as Cubs at a special evening when the parents are invited to attend, Mrs. Murray Popp was in charge of the meeting and Leader Bob Watkins was in charge of the games. 'After a short-business session which included plans for the year, Mrs. Elva Metcalfe of Bayfield introduced the guest speaker Mr. Scotchmer of Bayfield. Mr. Scotchmer, curator at Huron County Museum in Goderich, showed a few slides and explained a little of the origin and development of the museum.
