Sleeted at the head table with the president, Clair Merner and his wife Dorothy, were the meme berI3 of the Committee; first viee- preeident and card secretary, Mrs, Carrie Heard; second vice- preeident and press reporter, Mrk L. W. Scotcluner; secfetary, Mre. R. J, Larson and her huband Rheney; treasurer, Mre, Vina Parker and her huAand Bill; also the past preSident, Mrs. Mabel Hopson, who now resides in Clinton. Happy November Birthday wishes were sung to Mrs. Mary Weirton, Mrs, Dorothy Weston, Mr H. Ormond, Mr, Ken Lynn and Mrs. Myrtle Parker our Senior Citizen's very talented pianist who played for a sing- song led byMrs. Maude Sturgeon and Clair Merrier. Some of the original and regular workers, due to health reasons, cannot carry on as before. They feel certain that in our Village there are women whO would be happy to help, but feel they would be interfering, or peilhaps have helped the odd time, but neglected to state they could help regularly. No one would be interfering as it is all volunteer and we would very much appreciate your help. The prbfit we make goes to'ard helping complete the arena and pay expenses there. If this committee has to disband for:lack of kitchen help, and the prOfit now being turned in is no longer available, it would make it more difficult for the Centre to ,carry on. if you feel you can help on a reasonably regular basis or even only occasionally, please do not heSitate to phone for further in- formation or to volunteer help fit( WS Jean Lindseynr to 'Mrs.' Lillian Turner. 4-H CLUB Meeting number seven was held at the home of Mrs. K. Bunn says Connie Talbot. At this meeting the menu was chocolate chip cookies made by Connie Talbot and Shirley Brandon. While the cookies baked, they diScussed a buffet supper: what Nods to serve; how; in what or- dee; and time. They had to prove our knowledge of cooking. The next meeting is a buffet supper and all mothers of 4 H members are invited next Tqesday night at 7 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Marg Garrett. ANDREWS ACW St. Andrew's United Church Women Unit Two held their November meeting at the home of Kathleen Siertsema, with 19 members and 2 visitors present, President, Jean Dunn opened the meeting with the Unit prayer. Phyllis Campbell read the minutes of The last meeting and the roll call was answered by each person naming a dif- ferent fruit. After some business, Marilyn Haw and Kathleen Siertsema demonstrated some things that can be made with Ontario Fruit. They learned it by attending the Ontario Fruit cooking school in Clinton, After completion of business, lunch was served and all were able to sample the fresh fruit with dressing, pumpkin squares and cherry delight, which had been prepared earlier in the meeting. The December meeting will be held in the Church with more demonstration of booking with fruit. The new officers for 1973 are; Mildred Merrill, president; Dawna Westlake, vice- president; and Marilyn Haw secretary. All other officers remained the same as last year. Plane for the Sunday School Concert on December 15 and for the Annual Candlelight Service on December 17 were discussed. SEA SCOUT This week a Quarterdeck Meeting was held at the home of Skipper Gozzard, with the Purser, yoeman, bo'sun and two crew leaders attending. This year we excluded the storekeeper and bo'suns mate because our group is smaller. 'We eldisaiesed".
