FAREWELL TO COLLEC- TING? - Maybe. But not to collectors. They will always be among us, says the November Financial Post Magazine, but what they collect could be very different in the future, With living and storage space declining in the cities, collec- tions of the future could be of micro-miniaturized images-- such as the reproductions of Eaton's catalogues with their images of old objects. Or a return to the Renaissance-style curiosity cabinet with odd bits and pieces that are nice to have. Ever wondered why you collect? According to F.P. Magazine, you may be genuine. Or you may be seeking status, courting a cultured image, or hanging grimly onto the past.
