The .president opened the meeting with a poem and a psalm was sung followed by a prayer. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved and a Treasurer's report was given. The nominating committee. for 1973 is in Goderich to elect officers, The January meeting is to be held in Goderich on January 10, 1973. Seaforth ladies led in the devotional, A hymn was sung followed by scripture from Phillipines Chapter 4, Mrs, Pollock introduced the guest speaker Miss Ida White, a Missionary from India, who told about her work in India. A question and answer period followed. Mrs, Enright of Goderich thanked the speaker, Mrs. Blanche Dougall and Mrs, Edith Bell sang a lovely duet accompanied by Mrs. Munn at the piano. A hymn was sung and the meeting closed with the benediction, HENSALL KINETTE MEETING On October 11, the Kinette club celebrated their anniver- sary in London. The Kinettes met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Sharon Hoffman, The _guest speaker for the evening, Mrs, Shirley Weary spoke on "Women in Politics," A donation is to be sent to the C.N.1.B, Final preparations were made for the fall-winter rummage sale to be held November 3 at 8 p.m. at the arena, Plans were started for the arrangement of a Christmas party, The raffle was won by Karen Schurman. The next meeting will be November 8 at the home of Mrs. Mary Lou Hyde. PERSONALS Mr. Tony Gelderland, Ridgetown, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Sim Roobal over the weekend, Miss Linda Mock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Mock, is a patient. in Toronto General Hospital where she underwent surgery Wednesday of this week. Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Orr visited with Mr. James Orr in Parkhill on Sunday, and celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary there. Mr, and Mrs. John Konynen- dyk and Lenora, Woodstock, were Sunday visitors ,with Mr. and Mrs. Sim Roobal. 4-H REPORT The fifth meeting of the "Roaring Twenties" was held at the Legion Hall last Tuesday evening, The meeting was opened with the pledge, af- ter which an attendance check and roll .pall were taken, Everyone made and ate egg, salmon and cream cheese sand- wiches. After filling out hand- out sheets, the meeting adjour- ned, The October 31st meeting was -cancelled because of Hallowe'en. Miss Krissy Laws of Seaforth spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Buchanan, Bill, Doug, Betty and Bob, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Bilyga and family of St. Marys were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Nick Whyte, David, Crystal, 1;ilrian and Murray. Mr, arid Mrs. David Presz- cator, Christine, Lisa and Christopher visited on Sunday with Mr, and Mrs. Ken Presz- cator Diane and Nancy. Mrs. John Nottingham of Ladner, B.C. is visiting for a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Riley. Mr. and Mrs. George Mcllwain and Lynn of Stratford visited on Sunday afternoon with Mr. and. Mrs. George McDwain and family. Mr. Harold Whyte is spending this week visiting with friends and relatives in Hamilton. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Bannon and Melanie of Stratford were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Ben Riley, Gordon, Gerald, Greg, Sandra and Lorna. Mr. and Mrs. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Medd and Kerri were dinner guests with Mr, and Mrs. Dave Medd and Kim of Blyth on Sunday following the baptismal service when Kim was baptized. Mr. John Schnock of Cran- brook was guest speaker for the Sunday afternoon service at the Kipburn Community Church. Bill Hearn, president, centre, points to work being done at the new 7,000 square foot addition to the C,H. Epps Manufacturing plant on Highway 8, just east-of the Clinton town limits. The . new addition will double present space and is expected to boost employment from the present 14 to about 20 employees in two years.
