project is raising money for can-
cer research.
AIMWELL UNIT
The Aimwell unit of UCW
held its meeting on October 16
at the home of Ella Jewitt with
14 members present. The
meeting opened by singing a
hymn. The president, Ruth Vin-
cent, read the scripture, and
gave a meditation. She then led
in prayer and the hymn "Come
We That Love the Lord" was
sung.
An invitation to Ontario
Street and Wesley-Willis joint
thankoffering in Clinton was
read.
Marjorie Duizer, Eima Jewitt
and Betty Hulley were appoin-
ted to purchase materials for the
hospital favours.
Margaret Whyte offered to
have the November meeting. A
tentative date of December 10
was set for the family Christmas
party. Addie Hunking, Norma
Glousher, and Helen Lee were
appointed to the nominating
committee.
Ella Jewitt opened the
program with a reading, "Your
Gospel" and a hymn was sung.
Velma Preszcator read the
scripture and gave the
meditation. Margaret Whyte
spoke on the "Attitude of
Gratitude". She gave readings,
"Harvest of the Heart" and "If
I would teach." Velma Presz-
cater read a poem "To Walk
With Autumn." The meeting
closed with the hymn "Come Ye
Thankful People Come."
Ferne McClure served a
delicious lunch.
ANNIVERSARY SERVICES
,Despite wet weather, many at-
tended the anniversary services
held in the Uditeil Cliiixch'Sun"
day morning. At the door were
Jack Lee and Nick Whyte and
ushers were Larry Carter,
Stewart Glousher, Ken Scanlon
and Harvey Stewart, The music
was supplied by Mrs. Harry
Lear at the organ and Mrs. Tom
Allen at the piano. The
Belgrave• men's choir sang three
anthems, -"All Rail the Power of
Jesus' Name", "0 Mighty
Lord" and "Steal Away". The
flowers on the memorial stand
were placed in loving memory of
Mr. Weldon Tyndall by his wife
Alma. The guest speaker was
Rev, John Roberts of Belgrave.
His text was taken from
Romans, Chapter 5.
Following the service, the
Londesboro choir members ser-
ved lunch to the 13elgrave
minister and choir members.
At the evening service ushers
were Larry Lovett, Bob
Watkins, Brian and Larry
Jewitt and greeters were Jack
Lee and Nick Whyte. Rev.
McDonald conducted the
opening service, welcoming Rev.
and Mrs. Brenton, Rev. Brenton
was minister here from 1947 to
1952. Those married by Rev.
Brenton were honoured. Present
were Mr. and Mrs. Frank
(Eileen Miller) Potter, Mr. and
Mrs, Mac (Helen Howatt)
Hodgert, Mr. and Mrs. Glen
(Doreen Armstrong) Carter, Mr.
and Mrs, Carl (Kathleen
Yringblutt) Longman, Mr. and

Under the leadership of Mrs.
Allan Bosman, the senior choir
sang "I may Sing Praises", the
junior choir sang "Some May
Bring their Treasures" and the
combined choirs sang "0 Wor-
ship the King". The message
was "The Sound of Marching."
Following the service a recep-
tion was held in the church hail.
This provided an opportunity to
meet and greet Stan and Mavis
Brenton and to visit with old
friends, Rev. and Mrs. Brenton
spent the night at the manse
with Rev. McDonald. On Mon-
day they went to Owen Sound to
visit their daughter Sylvia, Mrs,
Mallette.
HI-C
The Hi-C held their
recreation night on Friday night
when they bowled at Clinton
Lanes and returned to Rev.
McDonald's for 'lunch.
