BY NOLA I-EE
At 8:15 p.m. on Friday, Sep-
tember 22nd, another annual
commencement was under way
at Central Huron S.S. After the
procession of grads and award
winners to the front of the
auditorium, the Reverend T.C.
Mulholland gave the invocation.
Mr. Homuth then addressed his
audience, noting changes in the
system, in particular, that the
platform party no longer wore
their caps and gowns and that
Central Huron was now on the
credit system, Following the ad-
dress of Mr, R,M. Elliott the
Board Chairman, the Secondary
School Graduation Diplomas
were awarded!!
After the presentation of The
Secondary School Honour
Graduation Diplomas by
Valedictory Address, In her ad-
dress she thanked teachers and
parents for their cooperation
and much patience in dealing
with them. She also noted that
May 19th had become a day of
reunion for the Grade 13's. This
was the day of the Grade 13
party last year and as Brenda
noted, it had been called a "mad
exit" by Mr, Homuth, who grew
red faced at the recollection of
the event, Brenda then ended
her valedictory address by
wishing the graduates the best
of luck in the oncoming years.
Mary Cummings, President of
the Student Council, gave the
closing remarks followed by the
Benediction by Reverend T.C.
Mulholland. After the singing of
God Save the Queen, everyone
rose for the retiring of the Plat-
form Party and Graduates.
