Dr. Moses to be guest speaker
Pictured above following their marriage at Holmesville
United Church are Mr. and Mrs. Barrie R. Miller. He is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Miller, Clinton and the bride,
the former Lorna Jean Miller is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. John S. Miller of Bayfield. Dr, Mowatt officiated at the
double ring ceremony. The couple are residing in Ottawa.

and pink roses rested on a white
Bible.
The maid of honor, Nancy
Gibbings of R.R.4 Clinton wore
a deep rose polyester crepe dress
trimmed with white and pink
lace and the wore pink roses in
her .hair. She carried white
shasta daisies and pink rpses in
a nosegay trimmed with pink
ribbon.
The bridesmaids were:
Brenda Gibbings, sister of the
bride and Helen Bos, sister of
the groom. The flower girl was
Carolyn Bos. They were all
dressed in identical outfits of
pale pink polyester crepe and
had pink roses in their hair.
Fred Vennstra of R,R.4, Clin-
ton was the groomsman and
ushers were Michael Gibbings
and Peter Bos.
The reception was held in the
Canadian Legion Hall which
was decorated with pink and
white gladioli,
The mother of the groom wore
a royal blue crepe dress with
cream accessories and a corsage
of white stephanotis with a pink
ribbon,
The mother of the bride wore
a multi-coloured dress of blue,
green, black and white crimp
knit with white accessories and
a corsage of white stephanotis
with mauve ribbon.
For a going-away outfit, the
bride chose a navy pin-stripe
wool dress with long white tie
and a corsage of pink roses.
The couple are residing in
Preston, Ontario.
Dr. Eva Moses will be the
special guest speaker at a Con-
vention of the United Church
Women of Central Huron to be
held in the Brucefield United
Church on October 12th, 1972.
Dr, Moses is a person of
charm And warmth. Her Mother
was a school teacher, and her
father an ordained minister who
spent most of his life serving the
rural churches of India. She
received a mission scholarship
to go to Christian College,
Ludhiana, to do medical studies,
graduated in 1936, and has
since worked only in Christian
hospitals.
From 1936 to 1946 Dr, Moses
served in the church hospital at
Banswara. In 19.43 she went to
Madras (South India) to study
Obstetrics and Gynaecology, in
which she now specializes. She

the years, including various
school beards in her church
area.
Her husband br, Reuben
Moses is the Principal of Indore
Christian College, They have
three daughters, two of whom
are married. Their youngest
daughter is now being sponsored
by the Commission for medical
studies at Iudhiana. Their
eldest daughter and her
husband are both medical doc-
tors and are working in the
church hospital at Dhar, about
thirty six mites from Indore.

The U.C.W. of St, Andrew's
Church, Kippen met at the
home of Mrs, Emerson Kyle
with hostesses Mrs. D. Turner
and Mrs. Grace Love in charge.
The meeting was opened by
words of welcome by the
president, Mrs. Wm. Bell, Mrs.
Orville Workman gave the wor-
ship from the Bible with the
theme "Wisdom".
Mrs. Lloyd Cooper introduced
the guest speaker, Mr. D.W.
Kennel!, superintendent of
Huron County Board of
Education who spoke on student
services.
In the business of the meeting
it was decided to have a fowl
supper November 1 and to sell
advanced tickets.
Courtesy remarks were given
by Mrs. Lloyd Cooper and lunch
was served by Unit 1.
KABOBS 4-H
The "Kippen Kabobs" 4-H
Club met at the • home of Mrs.
Robert Bell. Minutes of the past •
meeting were read by Judith
Mickle. The new secretary ap-
pointed was Linda Bell.
The discussion was on packed
lunches and a guessing contest
on sandwiches was conducted.
Judith Mickle and Debbie Con-
sitt demonstrated western sand-
wiches and Linda Bell served
them.
