Church for the Saturday,
August 19, 1972 candlelight
wedding of Margaret Apn
Mickle and Brian Edward
Collins,
The bride is the daughter of
Mr, and Mrs, Ernest Laird
Mickle and the groom's parents
are Mr. and Mrs. Edward A.
Collins, London.
Rev. Donald Heck and Father
B.C. Hayes, Kitchener,
officiated for their double-ring
ceremony.
Mrs, Robert Pryde was
organist and the soloist Mrs.
Mark Bialkowski, London sang
"Ave Maria", "The Lord's
Prayer" and "For All We
Know",
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, designed and
made her own floor-length gown
of polyester organza over
polyester shantung with long
sheer sleeves. The empire
bodice, ,sleeves and skirt were
appliqued with French lace. The
chapel-length train was
scalloped with the same lace
and was attached at the back of
the waistline with a large
chiffon bow, To complete her
outfit, the bride wore a tiny
close-fitting hat covered in
organza and trimmed with lace
and small hearts at the back,
from which fell her three-tiered
chapel length veil. She carried a
cascade of pink sweetheart roses
sprinkled with baby's breath
and a touch of greenery.
Miss Vicki Ruckle,
Brownsville was maid of honour
and the bridesmaids were Miss
Laurie Collins, London, sister of
the groom and the Misses
Pamela and Judith Mickle,
nieces of the bride. They were
gowned alike in floor-length
gowns of pink polyester satin
with shirred bodices and short
puffed shirred sleeves. The neck-
line was trimmed with a small
pleated frill of the same
material and they carried
silvery-white baskets of pink
sweetheart roses, white' shasta
mums and blue cornflowers.
They wore white mohair picture
hats trimmed with pink velvet
ribbon to match their dresses.
The flowergirl, Amy Beth
Collins, London, niece of the
groom wore a long similarly-
styled dress in white polyester
satin with long pink self-sash
tied with a bow at the back. She
carried a small silvery-white
basket of flowers similar to the
bridesmaids.
Tommy MacMillan,
Waterloo, nephew of the bride,
was ringbearer and was dressed
in long black trousers and white
jacket with white accessories. He
carried a white satin and lace
pillow. Donald Collins, London,
was his brother's best man and
the ushers were Robert Mickle,
brother of the bride, Mark
Bialkowski and Jim Coughlin.
Reception and dance followed
later at Dufferin Hall, London,
for 140 guests after a short stay
at the bride's home.
The bride's mother wore a
mint green street-length dress of
peau de ange with beaded
neckline and a small head-piece
of hand-made roses and leaves
to match. Her shoulder corsage
was of pink sweetheart roses
and baby's breath tied with
mint green satin ribbon,
The groom's mother also were
a street-length dress in lilac
shade, beaded arid in the same
material. Her head-piece was a
large bow with tiny flowers to
match. She carried an orchid
purse corsage.
For a two-week wedding trip
to Northern Ontario, the bride
changed to a long navy and
white patterned pure silk dress
with yellow trim, white

accessories and a corsage of
White roses with yellow tinted
edges and yellow net trim.
After their return, the couple
will take up residence in
Kitchener where they both will
be teaching high school this fall,
PERSONALS
Hensall Women's Institute
will resume the fall season by
starting on Wednesday evening,
September 13, with the first
meeting. This will be a public
relations meeting and the roll
call is to be a current event from
the day's newspaper'.
Mr, and Mrs, Brian Collins,
Kitchener, have returned from
their two-week wedding trip to
Northern Ontario and visited
Sunday with the latter's
parents, Mr, and Mrs. Laird
Mickle,
The summer joint Church
services are ended, and regular
Sunday services will commence
in Hensall United Church as
' usual Sunday morning, Sunday
School will also begin,
Lloyd Mousseau has been
moved from St. Joseph's
Hospital, London, to South
Huron Hospital, Exeter where
he is much improved.
DIRK VAN WIEREN
God called to his eternal
hom e Dirk Van. Wieren of
Hensall, Saturday, September 2,
1972, in his 70th year. Beloved
husband of the former Aafke
Wielinga; dear father of
Herman, R.R.1, Hensall; Klaas,
Hensall; Bill, London; Mrs.
Richard (Bertha) Fennema,
Hranchton; and Irene at home,
Also surviving are 16
grandchildren and five brothers
and one sister in Holland. The
body rested at the Bonthron
Funeral Home, Hensall. Service
was held from the Christian
Reformed Church, Exeter on
Monday September 4, 1972,
with Rev. Jack Roeda
officiating. Interment was in
Exeter Cemetery,
Pallbearers were Harry Van
Wieren, Bert Branderhorst, Art
Kikkert, Harry Klungel, Jake
Hovius, Jerry Hoersma,

The body rested at the
Bonthron Funeral Chapel where
service was held on Tuesday,
September 5, 1972 with Rev.
George Anderson officiating,
Interment was in Exeter
cemetery. Pallbearers were Asa
peeves, John Campbell, Bill
Siddall, Shipley Siddall, Walker
Carlite and Frank Forrest,
ROBERT RAYMOND McLEAN
Robert Raymond McLean
passed away suddenly Sunday,
September 3, 1972 at 4 months
of age. He was the baby son of
Ray and Marjorie McLean of
London, grandson of Mr. and
Mrs, Ken McLean, Hensall and
Mr, and Mrs. Ralph Turner of
Hensall. Private funeral services
were held from the Bonthron
Funeral Chapel, Hensall on
Tuesday, September 5, 1972
with Rev. H. Currie officiating.
Interment was in Exeter
Cemetery.
