My sister, Jolande, died on Sunday night,
Everyone thought it was quite a fright
We kids were told on Monday morning,
But we didn't do any mourning.
Because we knew she was happy.
She wasn't ever rude or snappy
The minister told us she was good,
As good as any person should
He told us it was God's will she should die,
I did not know the reason why.
Mom told me that her task was done,
She did it all for God's only son
When she was sick, God used her,
To find some new friends and lure
Them closer to the one God
Instead of being mod.
God gave her permission to come home
So she would not be alone.
But she had to go back again
She did win,
We all do miss her so
Her room is very empty and still,
But we know it is by God's will
So Jolande if you can hear me now,
I think you like it in Heaven.
We are not that disappointed that you left us
I know that God will take good care of you.
Tell Him that His plan did work.
