Pepper, Kr, and Mrs. Mac Wilson enjoyed a few days vacation in North Bay and other points north, Master Tommy and Tim Herman, London, are on vacation with their grandparents Mr, and Mrs, Wallace Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Jackson attended the wedding of their niece in Toronto last week. Mr, Lorne Wilson is a patient in Seaforth Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Doucette have relatives visiting with them from Winnipeg. Many people have been able to dodge payment of fines for traffic offenses, But collection is likely to be very much easier in future, says the Ontario Safety League. Under newly introduced legislation motorists who do not pay parking or other traffic fines are liable to have their licences suspended. Baptism service held at Bayfield More than 100 youngsters participated in a Paint-In on Main Street in Bayfield last Friday morning. ErickKrohmer of London who recently purchased Cedar Grove from Mr. and Mrs. Gil Washbrook, have been very busy remodelling and decorating the Restaurant. With all new kitchen equipment, panelled walls and floor carpeting it really shows the effort put forth. Mrs. Krohmer serves all types of food from snacks to German dishes to cabbage rolls. The couple have four children Rossita who is 18; Dittar 16, Armand 14, and Tilo 8, We wish the Krohmer family every success in this new venture. Rev. and Mrs. H, J. E, Crosby of Mooretown were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Diehl at the "Hut" last Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. George Durham and Ronof Clarkson were with his uncle Carl and Mrs. Diehl for a few days last week. A few Bayfield friends of Mrs. R.H.F. Gairdner went to Huronview last Monday afternoon and held a little impromptu birthday party to honour her on her 80th Birthday. On the Sunday her goddaughter Joan (Davies) Heard along with her baby daughter Ingrid of Mississauga visited wilh Mrs, Gairdner. PERSONALS Mrs. L.W, Scotchmer held a Buffet Supper at her home to honour her great-nephew, Robert J. Klaudi of Princeton who was baptised on Sunday, July 23 in Trinity Anglican Church. Among the guests from a distance were the baby's grandmother, Mrs. Christian Klaudi and an aunt and uncle all of St. Marys. Miss Joyce Scott of Calgary. Alberta, arrived at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Morris Scott, last Thursday, to spend a vacation with them. Joyce is a secretary for Westburne Petroleum and Mineral Ltd. of Calgary. Mr. and Mrs. Ivon Steckle Sr, spent several days last week with' their son-in-law, daughter and grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Taylor, David, Paul and Lynda in St. Thomas. Mr. A.W. Martin, brother-in- law of Mr. Ivon Steckle Sr., and his daughter Almeda of Waterloo spent last Sunday with Ivon and Mrs. Steckle Sr. Miss Kim Parker of London Middleton There is mounting interest near and far in the long-awaited centennial auction sale sponsored by the A.C.W. and Board of Management of St. James Anglican Church, Middleton on Saturday August fifth. The auction will be held on the church lawn almost mid-way between Clinton and Hayfield. Such varied donations as a hand-made comforter (A.C. W.), a record player, stereo records, a set of dishes, an (anvil) forge, a tricycle, a baby's car bed, a smoking stand, a rifle, an antique cupboard, a chesterfield suite, a large antique copper kettle etc. show the scope of this venture. PERSONALS Mr. and Mrs. Alvin ,Dutot entertained relatives and friends onSunday, July 16th in honour of their aunt, Miss Hilda King of London. There were 26 persons present, Miss Helen Smith of Stratford and Mr, and Mrs. Gary Kilgour of Kitchener spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Smith, Mr, and Mrs. Joseph Storey returned home last week from a motor trip to Regina. They enjoyed the Lake Superior scenery especially but found the western grain crops light from lack of rain. Mr, and Mrs. Edward Wise returned Sunday from a delightful holiday at Lake Tomiko, fifteen miles north of Sturgeon Falls.
