Murdock Morrison in charge. Mr. Arnold Keys met with a painful accident on his farm last week and is a patient in Clinton Public Hospital. Mrs. Harvey Coleman is at present a patient in Exeter' Hospital. The United Church Auction Sale will be held on Saturday afternoon of this week in the Arena. Donated and Consignment articles will be accepted. At a recent meeting of L,O.L. 1035 a donation was made to the Lions Club of Bayfield to help pay the busing of the Varna children to Clinton for swimming lessons; also a donation to the Vacation Bible School. Lunch was served by Mrs. Laura Saundercock. VACATION SCHOOL The Londesboro Vacation Church School was held this past week with an excellent attendance. Leaders and assistants were Mrs. Tom Duizer, Mrs. Murray Lyon, Mrs. Jim Radford; Mrs. Tillie Westerhout, Mrs. Jack Ta.mblyn, Mrs. Reg. Lawson, Mrs. Gordon Shobbrook, Misses Vaughn Hunking, Mary Lou Vincent, Shirley Hunking, Colleen Carter, Debbie Wallace, Louise Lovett and Rev. McDonald. On Friday morning a closing jsession was held with the large ' attendance • of parents. grandparents and friends of the students attending. Following the short program, the visitors were invited to the church ball where the students work was on display. The teachers and leaders then served cookies and freshie supplied by the Berean unit of the U.C.W. There will be no service in church at Londesboro this coming Sunday July 23rd. Instead an open-air church service and Annual Congregational Picnic will be held in the Seaforth Lions Park at 11 a.m. in place of the regular 10 a.m. service. PERSONALS Sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Allen Shaddick on the passing of her sister Mrs. William (Lulu) Reed of Fullerton. Mrs. G. Cowan had misfortune to fall on Sunday July 9th and fracture her wrist. Mrs. Laura Lyon and Miss Edythe Beacom spent past week Sunday to Thursday with Mr. Ron Neal and Douglas of London. Mrs. Margaret Taman of Brampton spent past week with her sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Jack Armstrong.
