inning Clinton paraded ten men to

two singles after that as the third

On the 26th of June, the Juvenile
Girls knocked out 48 hits against
Mitchell's 5 as they walked to an
easy 46-6 victory, A pair of
homers by both Patti Kay and
Sandra Fremlin kept the hot bats
rolling. Starting pitcher Mick
Cruickshank was aided by Sandra
Fremlin in the later innings.
Two days later, Cathie

On the strength of two
convincing\ victories last week,
the Clinton Colts have stretched
their season record to seven wins
and one loss. At Mitchell the Colts
walloped Mitchell 20-2. Stu
Mustard pitched the distance
allowing only two runs on five
hits. He struck out five batters
and allowed six walks, His record
for the season now stands with two
wins and no losses and one save,
The game started out very slow
and was scoreless until the fifth
inning; Then the roof fell in on
Mitchell. The Colts scored 3 runs
in the fifth, 5 runs in the sixth, 9
runs in the seventh, and 3 runs in
the eighth to round out the
scoring. The birflow was a grand
slam homerun by Doc Miller in
the sixth. Clinton pounded out 15
hits. The leading hitters for the
Colts were Doc Miller with a
homer, double and single; -A rchie
Pickett, a double and single; Cam
Colquhoun, a triple and double;
Stu Mustard, two singles: Brad
Dutot, double and single: and
singles going to Rick Fremlin,
Don Bartliff, Butch Fleet, and
Greg Burns,
On last Sunday evening at the
Clinton Community Park, the
Colts romped over Arva 13-9. The
score did not indicate that Larry
Pickett pitched a good game. His
team mates committed seven
errors, Arva was only credited
with two earned runs out of the
nine -they received. It was
Pickett's first complete game of
the season, and by going the
distance, he ran his pitching
record to two Wins and no losses.
Larry struck out five and walked
one batter.
Clinton jumped off to a 3-0 lead
in the first inning. A lead-off
double by Butch Fleet and a single
by Laurie Colquhoun produced
one run. A double by Don Bartliff
and a single by Brad Dutot
knocked in two more. Arva
narrowed the margin to 3-2 in the
second inning when two Clinton
errors proved costly.
Going into the fifth inning
Clinton trailed 6-5. The Colts
erupted for four big runs on three
walks, an error and a double by
Butch Fleet. With the score 9-6,
Arva battled back and trailed 9-8
after six innings. Arva's pitching
wildness got them into trouble
again- Six walks and a booming
double by Laurie Colquhoun with
the bases loaded helped Clinton
get their last four runs.
Clinton 's leading hitters in this
game were Butch Fleet with 2
doubles, Larry Pickett 2 doubles,
Laurie Colquhoun 2 singles and a
double; Don Bartliff, a double;
Brad Dutot and Greg Burns one
single each.
Clinton's next home game is
Saturday night at 8 p.m. at the
Park. Come out and support your
