BACKGROUND FACTS
Some 19 million pounds of
canned and frozen sweet corn is
exported from Ontario to Britain
yearly, This accounts for 85
percent of the total IJ,K4 market.
+ + +
Ready-to-thaw-and-serve or
bake frozen cakes and pies have
only recently become available in
Britain and are now finding a
growing market in the United
Kingdom.
+ + +
Britain produces and consumes
more chocolates than practically
any country in the world, and it is
rather like taking "Coals to
Newcastle" for Laura Secord to
sell its own individual brand in the
United Kingdom. But the Toronto-
based company is doing just
that—and finding a good response
from consumers.
