He said that they have a job to do and it can only be done with the co- operation of the public, A lively question and answer period followed. Traffic laws, T.I.P. program and court cases Were discussed. Mrs, Grant McLean thanked Corporal Brooks and presented him with a gift, Mrs. Hemingway from the South Huron and District Association for the Mentally Retarded commented on the problems of the retarded child stating that they can be educated and live a normal life. She also spoke about the workshop which they hope will soon be started. It was decided to apply for a membership to the Association, Reports were given by Mrs, Campbell Eyre on Rogersville and Mrs. Brodie on Agriculture and Canadian Industries. Debbie Consitt, Sharon Finlayson and Susan Finlayson sang several songs accompanied by Mrs. R. Broadfoot. Mrs. Broadfoot played several piano selections of Irish music. A Cake Walk was conducted by Mrs, James Drummond, the winners being—Sharon Finlayson, Mrs, Forrest, Mrs. Brodie and Mrs. Grant McGregor. A highlight of the evening was a Hat Preview' presented by the members. Mrs. D. Triebner was commentator. Mrs. Grant McLean was the Cleaner model, CLINTON II 4-H The fourth meeting was held at Karen and Susan Tyndall's, After our usual opening, our leaders showed us how to cut bias strips and how to make a bias bound cord. The next meeting will be held at Mrs. Ruth Jenkins' on March 15. CLINTON II 4-H Our fifth meeting was held at Mrs. Jenkins' on March 15. Mrs. Ellis and Mrs. Jenkins showed us how to apply bias bound corded piping- in a seam, how to cut facings and sew them on, understitching, how to make casings for elastic and finally how to apply lace to the lower edge of a garment. Our next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Ellis on March 22. Miss Tide. Mrs. Grant McGregor was the Lampshade model; Mrs. V. Alderdice, the Bath Math model; Mrs. A, McGregor, the Pie Plate model; Mrs D. Mrs. Ruth Dickert of Harriston, who has been visiting Mrs. Norman Dickert, returned home. Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Kyle have returned from Hawaii.
